I didn't read the whole thread. I think LSIs can get into ruts re their appearance, both men and women, and that they are better off sticking with conservative looks because they don't know how to balance out loud or odd items, or even incorporate trends well. But none of the LSIs I know seem smelly; they are pretty careful about their appearance.
I did get LSI out of a fashion rut by showing him books and TV shows about fashion that made the point that the impact you make on someone upon meeting them is lasting and can affect your career.
Not bathing can be due to something like sensory issues (sound/feel of water) or depression, or being from a family or whatever that doesn't emphasize cleanliness. I don't think it is an LSI thing.
My impression of LSIs are that they are usually impeccable dressers...very into power-looks.
They are. Some though may have a problem. My brother in law has too many sweat glands in his feet so he can't help it that his feet naturally sweat a lot and secrete a lot of bacteria and smell funky. You love people not what their body is doing but whenever you can, you try to help them achieve their goals and ideals. In trying to help my brother in law when he was concerned about the issue, I had a french company ship this special lotion that shrank sweat glands like an antiperspirant lotion. He loved it and used it all the time, but now that company doesn't make that any more. I wasn't try to change him when I did this. This was his own concern and using my Ne, I merely found a way to help his cause out. That's support.Quote:

LSI are pretty direct when they tell you that somethings up with you. My boss will say "is that your grandma's sweater" to us when he finds that someone wears something unfashionable or unsightly. I think I prefer sensitivity when telling someone that something's out of place about them. I try to get them something as a sign or a hint (my duals do this too). After all, delta are concerned about relationships and keeping the near and dear around...especially the NFs of Delta :).
That comment makes me feel bad that I wore something warm even though it's not fashionable. The ST of Delta will say instead "what is that she's wearing?" or "look at what she's wearing" instead of "is that your grandma's sweater?"
Hmm... have you tried negotiating deal with him. Be like if you maintain your appearance the way I like I'll give you a lap dance, or strip tease or give him a massage, or cook him his favorite dinner, take care of chores he doesn't like to do, or something like that. Preferably something you'll both enjoy or wouldn't mind doing. Have heart to heart conversation about it listen to the reason(s) why he won't do it and try to find work around. If he truly loves you he'll try his best to keep you happy.

this is more a matter of areas of interest. So I think it has to do with functions as well. It was not a statement like all LSIs have harmonious facial features or LSIs are usually super tall and muscular. Here you have Ti rigor and strictness and orientation to relevant details with Se interest in appearance ...that's only an aspect of it, sure. It's not really type related and I agree with silke however, being a Sensate, one would think that orientation towards here and now and things that look a certain way would appeal to them. There are LSI who are just so nonchalant about their day and who they will see, may not care about impressing anyone or just lead a role of a slackly "writer" lol which my writer LSI friend does and when doing so he doesn't care much about the holes in his shirt lol. I don't care, I never mention it. Those things don't bother me.
