Richard keeps up with the news. Once in a while he'll comment on something, or I'll glance over at him watching a news video that looks interesting. Otherwise, I'm pretty much like an ostrich with my head in the sand.
I gotta hear it from someone I know or stumble on it by accident. I'd rather focus on shit I can fix right here right now. The news is what I see and what I hear from the people I care about, not whatever gets shat out by "news" making companies who stay in business by producing "news".
Google news is one of my "top visited" sites. :(
Y'all are making me feel like a dork.
This. (though i've still a long ways to go regarding my footprint.)
Also, when i do read a news story, I want to know all sides to it, not just the one. I never feel as if I'm being given enough info. And since I can't get the info I want, I withdraw from it all, to focus on what's within my "circle of influence".
I dream of having feet the size of yeti. Like an obscene ecological hobbit.
I don't use the Internet.
Almost never. My parents stopped watching the news because my mother was tired of the constant negativity; since moving out, I can't really bring myself to care enough to keep up with it. I have a separate site I use to keep up with the weather, and I usually hear about recent disasters on Facebook.
