An SEE friend knew a few sleight-of-hand tricks. An ILE talks about magicians often but has no real interest in learning their tricks. I learned enough stuff to perform a magic show for the neighbors as a kid once but didn't maintain sustained interest in it.
ILEs are magicians and that's a fact.
Back when television cared about professional magicians, I would watch all of the specials religiously. I never had any sort of interest in magickery as a profession though.
On a related note, in 4th grade I had an assignment to write a report about the person, living or dead, who I felt to be the "best" or "most important." The first part of the assignment was to nominate five people, and one of the fine human specimens I chose was the guy who hosted the Magicians Secrets Revealed show. I wasn't a particularly worldly-minded kid.
My brother was fixated on magic when he was a kid. He liked the attention it got him. I think he was probably SEE.
I really have nothing to say about magicians and socionics, but I think magic appeals to people who want a lot of attention. I am fairly sure that magicians get more focus and intensity from their audience than any other performance artists because the viewers are attempting to figure out the practitioner's methods.
Imo, David Blaine might be an LII, just look at that :Ti: death stare!

I think ILIs and ILEs like to play with illusions.
Se/Ni, probably some ESE and LSE too. Magicians don't exist, BTW, it's only showmen - just ask yourself why all magicians have to have a tall stick up their asses everytime they perform "magic".
LIE-Ni for David Blaine IMO. If you watch interviews where he describes his relation to his work, Se-seeking becomes obvious. His TED talk is a good example.

Given his personality and the style of his illusions, I am going to say Criss Angel is a Se-SLE imo.
Oh my God! Allah akhbar!
I think David Copperfield is SLE.
Keep it going and you're going to end up with all types.
Bread and circuses.
