Instinct Stacking Face Composites
I've been working on some face composites made up of representatives of the different instinct stackings. I've finished some prototypes so far, to be updated as time goes on and I get more typings of people down. I'll update the OP once I make new stuff.
All have been left anonymous for guessing purposes. 1 - 6 are women, 7 - 12 are men.
Last Edit: 7/21/12, updated 5, 6, 7, and 10 with new faces and some photoshopping.
-
re-posting my guesses from the other thread
just noticed that the first pic looks like @jessica129
-
aww three looks cute
six looks terrifying
-
I bet the composite for six includes Hillary Clintion.

It was honestly really difficult to find people who didn't exude that terrifying-ness for six. I wonder how many others feel the same way.
-
My guesses are as follows:
1) sp/sx
2) sx/sp
3) sx/so
4) so/sx
5) sp/so
6) so/sp
-
The 3rd one and the last one look annoying. Especially the last one. She looks like an idiot.
The 2nd and 4th look like people that I know and like. Especially the 4th one. 4th one looks awesome.
I like the way the 5th one looks too. She seems a little distant though.
The first one looks withdrawn and hard to know.
so:
1 and 5 sp first
2 and 4 sx first
3 and 6 so first
-
Since we have a fair bit of consensus so far, this should be no surprise:
1. Sp/Sx
2. Sx/So
3. So/Sx
4. Sx/Sp
5. Sp/So
6. So/Sp
Working on the male versions right now, so far some interesting results.

Yessir. I tried to add more irrationals to a later edit of it, but it still came out to the same sort of creepiness.
-
Impressions :p
1 looks a bit stuck up.. ha
2 looks scary
3 looks vivacious
4 thinks she's "deep" lol
5 looks friendly
6 looks creepy
-
Turns out I had nothing else to do today, so I made up all the male composites! They're all in the OP if you wanna take a look and make your own estimates.

Yeah that one's sx/sp. Has a striking resemblance to Angelina Jolie even though she's not in it.
-
for the males
1 - sp/sx
2 - sx/sp
3 - so/sp
4 - sx/so
5 - sp/so
6 - so/sx
-
Females:
1. sp/sx
2. sx/so
3. so/sx
4. sx/sp
5. sp/so
6. so/sp
I could have 2 and 3 backward though, not 100% on that one.
-
Males:
1. so/sx
2. so/sp
3. sp/sx
4. sx/sp
5. sp/so
6. sx/so
-
Looks like good convergence on the females

I find that too, and I'm not sure why. I'm fairly confident that a majority of the men used are of the types I think they are, although I'll have to triple check. Could also be the pictures I've selected, too many older faces or something.

My thought was that the women's So faces were very open and maybe men are pressured away from that quality and are supposed to cultivate more stoicism regardless--and men in the public eye might need to have that image even if it's not how they are in their personal lives. Justa thawt.

Not a bad thought. Having made the composites I can tell how each face appears to represent its instinct stacking, but the men seem a lot less obvious compared to the female ones.
Once I get more faces into each composite they'll hopefully get cleaned up a lot more, esp. #11.
-
so/sp = horrible creepy people ?????????
-
-
All males look sp primary. :p
And lol @ semi-visible glasses on #11.

No, 2. Also, I'm changing my type to sx/sp.

7 ... so/sp I could almost hear the hissing in my ears
8 ... sx/sp has the same certitude as female composite
9 ... sp-first, looks opaque and laid back, sp/sx?
10 ... sp/so may be? seems 'cool' in disposition
11 ... by process of elimination I'd say sx/so but it's not apparent
12 ... so/sx since it looks a lot like Russel Peters
7, 8, 12 were easy enough to tell but the other three i wasn't sure of

#11 looked old and tired to me ... can you post a list of whom you have added for 10 and 11? may be a few can be taken out if there are any objections to their instinct typings

Actually, number 7 and number 12 are the only good looking men there! So/Sp and So/Sx seem like the best ones to be, at least to me. I like them!

Sure.
10: Bryan Adams
Anderson Cooper
Michael J Fox
Zach Galifianakis
George Harrison
Ray Lamontagne
Dylan Moran
Ron Perlman
I have them all as Sp/Sx, with relative certainty.
11: Jimmy Carter
Dick Cheney
Simon Cowell
Brian Eno
Jimmy Fallon
John Lennon
Jon Lovitz
I had this as Sp/So, but it's definitely my least certain of all the composites, a few of them sorta taken for granted as suggestions from others. It looks old and tired because all of the photos are of old and tired politicians, lol. Needs some more fresh faces. That seems to be the problem for #9 too, lots of older faces making it look tired; although I will say it reminds me of Antonio Banderas a bit.

This is a good sign that at least something's working right here haha
-
I think you V.I. IEI, Saberstorm.
-
I typed myself that once.
-
Just re-did #9, it's less smiley but much more realistic and cohesive I think.

It's one of the socionix dual couples that always looked rather disturbing to me. Once you made the composites I realized that they both had pronounced so/sp features.. judging from the story their approach to 'romance' was rather utilitarian (don't think I made it past page 3 either). Made me wonder if this disconnect from one's feeling core could facilitate that sort of behavior if the intent is already there.

Just updated 5, 6, 7, and 10 with more faces + some photoshopping, although a couple of the links aren't working for me. It's amazing what simply airbrushing out wrinkles and darkening the pupils can do.

I put these composites into an article, should be up and published now. The male sp/so and sx/so are the ones that look like outliers out of the bunch, but there is nobody that I can readily point out from the list you've given, and there hasn't been feedback on this from anybody else, so it will do for now.

somebody's gotta be the witch :P ... the total lack of sx instinct in so/sp and sp/so can feel disconcerting for those of other stackings hence all the commentary. I personally have known people of both stacks whose company I've enjoyed and wouldn't say I hate them.

they were posted on socionix gallery as an IEI(him)-SLE(her) couple though an IEI typing for this guy looks rather weird

Galen, I hope you're not still obsessed with this shit. Let it go. Do something productive.

Just took a second look at those male composites and discovered that half pf my typings were off. Lots of So/Sx types made it into Sx/So and made it all look plastic-ey. There's probably more editing to do on them, so once I get my computer all set up again I'll take another look.
-
@Galen -- so types look plasticy? >.>
-
Just saw the male faces. First reactions:
When I clicked on 7, I cringed and closed my eyes, then quickly scrolled away. Yuck.
8 is pleasant and a nice face to look at, I can stay there for awhile. Whereas 7 made me want to get away as quickly as possible, I have the opposite reaction with 8 - where I want to study his face more.
9 -- ew, more an unpleasant disgust. Not as bad as 7 - but not good.
10 no reaction. it's okay
11 - gahhhh, get me away!
12 just makes me laugh. He looks ridiculous, as in over-exaggeratedly friendly, but not a bad face.
-
4 then 1 for the women... 4 is highly attractive. For the men only 9 seemed to have any appeal at all... most seemed really off.

There is a danger here that you are using averages which tend to create 'beautiful people' because average qualities do that.
It would be worthwhile doing more than correlation, 'These are average face composites for 5', by expanding to include ideas such as Enneagram 5s/6s iconoclastism and how this impacts appearance versus the attraction flaunting 7s/3s.

I certainly don't find the so > sx composites to be particularly attractive. Even if this was the case, how is this a bad thing?

So just create random type combinations? I don't see much worth in doing that unless I were to go with the various triads, which may be worth checking out.

Noooo, more or less defining the types of lifestyles/mannerisms enneagram types lead and how this may affect appearance.

You can create as many lifestyle/mannerism delineations as you want between any combination of enneatypes, so it'd be more effective to just go ahead and make combinations of everything.
