How do you feel about Anthony Braxton, or Stan Kenton's composer Bob Graettinger?
First of all, You have great taste in music btw.
Anthony Braxton was such an abstractionist that he pulls emotionally from every spectrum. He typically invokes a deep nostalgia from the past or a burning inspiration to create new and cutting edge music. Check out Andrew Hill, Cecil Taylor, Pharoah Sanders, and Ornette Coleman.
I didn't know who Stan Kenton's composer was to be completely honest. You taught me somethin new. I haven't analyzed his harmonies like I have with Basie/Ellington, but he invokes a sense of 'coolness' from the west coast. and a sense of power.
I've had this rolling around in my head for some time;
I'm thinking something :Se: and :Fe: , beta maybe? It's hard to say...
I did enjoy both videos though -- the music and images fit well together.
I hope you won't get me wrong :). I liked the videos but what really appealed to me was that the first one got my dog really interested :). She pricked her ears and started looking at the video.
I'm tempted to say merry and judicious, maybe SEI, but that's pulled out of the air, even after watching a few of your other videos.
