Pretty much the classic picture of an SEI, and nothing about him other than the stereotypical marine-jock image says SLE; he's a sensitive average joe who was in the right place at the right time, not especially strong willed but rather the inverse: completely go-with-the-flow, which is what allows him to both creep so far into the Na'Vi culture, and avoid suspicion on behalf of the Colonel until he is literally caught in the act. He never seeks to stand out, doesn't have any particular cause or motivation until his sympathies are swayed by first hand involvement in culture and a romantic encounter - not ideology.
