You cant say it's stronger, it is just there and is influenced by a lot of other functions and yadda yadda... it is just a tool to help you understand. Don't take it so litterly
How about subtypes. If I'm :Ni: subtype, then which am I using more: :Te: or :Ni: ? I just know I'm still too different from INTps to be one.
It is simply more apparent.
