I still insist that most ILE song ever is "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebWzQ-sZZto
Also, please note that the Barenaked Ladies are so awesome that they recorded a bunch of their greatest hits on webcam in a bathroom for youtube.
Doesn't capture the Ne spirit though :(
And it also ruins the cool duality I have going.
Are you crapping me? That song is SO Ne, lol. I don't even know how to grab examples because it foams Ne at the mouth.
And I don't really think your cool duality is presenting each partner equally. Motivating SEIs is supposed to be a byproduct of being ILE, not their fundamental description. We're not babysitters. Banana Pancakes and I actually JUST had a conversation about this, lol.
It's not frenetic enough. This is my point.
Of course, IRL, ILEs aren't that frenetic either... but I'm an ILE, and I'm clearly detached from reality, so how would I know?
And anyway, you're just full of yourself. ILEs are clearly SEIs' bitches. Duh.
EP = hyperactive spazzball. Duh.
And anyway, S is always dominant over N. This is the way the world works, I'm afraid.
Most of the ENTps here are not hyperactive spazballs, lamesauce. You're more of a hyperactive spazball than most of us.
AND it's S and N, not S and M.
Most of the ENTps here belong in Gamma and Beta :3
But anyway, why can't you be more like Carla?
Yake is LSI.
You are LIE.
Nobody else really posts, but I like xerxes.
Though, your Te hardassing has abated recently. You can be Alpha again.
lololololololol
LIE, good one.
Jake as LSI, also a good one.
Oi vey, trying really hard not to be turn into robot-Vero and dissect this.
EDIT
But anyway, when was the last time you heard of a snarky Alpha? It's about as likely as a sarcastic Alpha, or green grass.
I'm seriously hoping you were kidding though. Were you jk?
Sort of :3
I was just having a Ninerage at your unflinching rightitude, and remembered that LXEs I know are just like that.
My rightitude is simply a continuing echo of you not-being ESE and the fact that I don't think you understand a large part of socionics and are unwilling to listen to my explanation therein.
Ok, from my end, you're not giving an explanation. You're just turtling down on one point and refusing to discuss pieces of counter-evidence and interpretations that myself and others bring to the table.
"Oh, look, they've got a different opinion lol. *ignores*"
So, I said I would respond to that post. Here's my take:
Trying to discuss things with you was difficult because you refused to really hear anything I was saying. You would either rationalize it in a way that completely missed the point, or you would simply give me a "Well Brill says..." response. I didn't really find you were treating any of the things I was saying as having any merit because they did not agree with Brill's perspective. And keep in mind that it is not simply my perspective that I was expressing either. I was acting as the voice of a number of people who felt the same way as me. Believe it or not, I do peer review my thoughts on socionics.
"Well Brill says" happens because he uses clear logic that I can follow and ask questions about.
Ignoring you happens because you appear to not use logic at all.
This discussion gets us nowhere, however.
You make a thread for all your arguments for ILE and against SEI so it's at least clear what we're actually saying.
Hardship - their car just broke down. They don't appreciate the landscape, as you do. But there's a pride in it - a pride in enduring hardship without assistance, in there being no one else to compete for the claim.
Their sorrow is their victory. And I think that's what Carla sees in it as well.
At this rate, I'm going to be all alone in Alpha, Brill
I think it's just Negativist. No need to push us out of Alpha over it. :p
I believe each type has a very specific flavor of music that isn't particularly appreciated by other types, except possibly duals.
Post music that you think appeals and illustrates the type in a visual or audible way. This music should show their attitudes, their moods, their auras or their general outlook on life.

i could have fun with this sort of thing if it isn't taken too literally. obviously its not true that only esis can appreciate type o negative but if subjectively the vibe matches for you, that's kind of interesting. i used to have similar thoughts when i was into socionics more. if any of it comes back to mind i'll post it here.
:o I love TON and this song.
The ILE one made me want to vomit instantaneously. I can't stand a lot of music I have seen attributed to Alpha NTs so segregating music this way really annoys me. If you want to throw socionics at it however, I guess you should attribute it to ILEish "emotional anchoring". If it helps I am a huge fan of Em and 7/8 time gives me a major boner.
@squirreltual...
really? I chose the song primarily because my ILE friend listens to angels and airwaves all the time. That was really the only reason I picked it.
A&A has alpha themes, and that song in particular has an Ne/Fe vibe (I'm going by vibes for this thread).

I've looked up some info on musical processing and from this article it sounds like music engages the entire mind, so the response would be quite idiosyncratic - http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/neur...b1/Sancar.html
Quote:
... The neuronal connections which ensue from this juncture of the auditory nerve is quite complex and difficult to distinguish. In order to process a melody, many 'higher' functioning areas of the brain (such as the frontal lobes) are greatly involved. The area of the brain which integrates the intensity and pitch information relayed from the cochlea is the brain stem. The brain stem is also important in localizing sound. This function is thought of as more rudimentary or primitive form of processing music as it is most related to a physical response (as in locating prey or a potential mate). It does, however, also work to define and shape sounds helping to identify individual notes. (1) This 'crude' form of information is presumably shunted to areas of the cerebral cortex where more complex assessment of notes are achieved.
In particular, the auditory cortex interprets sounds within the context of what has preceded. Specifically, the right-brain auditory cortex specializes in determining hierarchies of harmonic relations and rich overtones whereas the left auditory hemisphere deciphers relationships between successions of sounds (i.e.-- the sequencing of sounds and perception of rhythm)(1). It should be noted that the right-brain auditory cortex is particularly adept at analyzing the highly harmonic vowel sounds of language (1). It is very interesting to note that the left brain is also involved in the sequencing of words and ideas and is considered the 'seat' of language (1). In fact, through MRI scans, it has been recognized that one of the areas of the brain used to decipher language may also 'contain' the ability to conceive absolute pitch. ...
The INTj music wasn't very interesting in my mind. Nothing really... happened. I feel like I'm prejudiced towards music which suits the kind of genres I like, so I can't comment on what music is typical of types (specifically, music which appeals to my type). Then again, maybe that's the idea- and the genres/kinds of music within those genres which I like are shaped by my type. But isn't music preference related to, like, music you hear in the womb and stuff?
Separately, the only song I have liked so far in this thread are the ILE songs (the Angels and Airways- "The Adventure", and R.E.M.- "Stand"). So maybe that means something. Do types of certain quadras usually make music which responds to that type? Because I like They Might Be Giants and Reg Spektor which are both, in my mind, "Alpha" things..
