Clearly, having :Ne: blocked with :Ti: makes us highly unsure of ourselves.
At least, I think it does...
Does it?

I'm not sure!!
Actually, I'd agree with this, but then I'd consider the fact that I cannot be in the minda of others with different values, so I cannot truly know if I am, in fact, insecure by comparation.
Oh wait nvm lol
:Ti: builds logical frameworks.
:Ne: attempts to observe things from different angles.
Combined, they form a pattern of "Is my paradigm right?" thinking.
EDIT
I guess what I'm saying is that, in Alphas, :Ne: gets thrown against :Ti: specifically, and nearly constantly, hence the insecurities.
Come to think of it, most of the alphas I've run across (not an abundance, t'be honest, only half a dozen or so, but still) have had a lot of trouble with second-guessing themselves. Hadn't really thought of it in terms of socionics before now though, just figured it was a personal issue. I guess that inability to focus on future events separate from the now could have a lot to do with it.
Gulanzon, I think you should stop with the objective statements about quadras and types. Every type and quadra has their insecurities. What do you think a PoLR is?
ETA: your bringing attention to the fact that you feel your own quadra to be insecure is merely a recognition of your own person insecurities; a kind of awareness. This is by no means a bad thing.
I'm simply attempting to stimulate discussion, Ezra-baby.
You're so boring ):
Hey, I'm merely keeping the peace.

Ezra, take me. Now.
This:
I don't consider myself insecure. Uncertain of where I stand with people, how they perceive me and whether my actions in a group are having their intended affect, yes. But none of that really causes me to be insecure because I'm not really worried about it. I'm generally pretty confident and sure of myself, which is bolstered by the certainty that I'm good at what I do and I do what I enjoy.Quote:

This is kind of a silly topic. Ezra briefly pointed out why. I do think there's a comically recurring type of insecurity alpha NTs (more so ENTps) can have. It's sort of like the awkward court jester type of thing, hoping someone laughs at their joke or finds their idea interesting, and potentially doomed to ceaseless intellectual meandering. Obviously that is exaggerated for effect.
You can't really link this shit to type, though; you may observe subtle qualities, but turning them into general idea more often than not falls short. Accrue more data; the patterns will evince themselves.
Didn't you know? Sodium forms ironic bonds.
Now, something like silicone? That forms covolitional bonds. Even moreso with hydrogen cyanide.
Oh... alpha humor never ceases to crack me up.
Depends what you mean of unsure of yourself i suppose. INTj's and ENTp's can be very sure of their intelligence (and rightly so). The sensors can be very confident.
If you mean changing your mind, i think i take the cake. :Ne: + :Fi: means my opinion could be right or its could be wrong. Im also not sure if im logically thinking of everything :P
This is true. By the way, who's your holographic thinker?
That's one thing I love about Alphas - their wit.
Ew..
