I actually am hedonist though.
100%.
If I had a choice between I job that I loved and enjoyed or a job that was just ok and payed 40% more. I'd take the job that I loved.
I always turn the things I have to do into something fun. I'm like allergic to anything that isn't pleasent. When I do homework if it's boring I make a game out of it. If I have to do chores I'll turn on the radio or television to make it more enjoyable.
Morality/commitents/etc. comes before enjoyment though of course but the thing is usually in my case they don't conflict.
I always thought the point of life was to enjoy it.
You know even those things I said come first...indirectly they do cause me to be happy...it may not be immediate but I feel better about myself when I do first things first which leads to me being happier.
Yup.

Question: Isn't that what everyone wants though? To enjoy life to the fullest? I mean some people like to take a very indirect approach but isn't happiness still what they're aiming for?
