is this extreme preference for Fe? I realize that I often don't hear what someone is saying if they have a pretty accent. It is a little embarrasing but. yes. it's true.

actually.. i think i pay attention more to an accent but will hear it subconsciously.
I get confused if things are more N/S or Te/Fe.
Kam, sometimes you make me laugh. That's all I'll say about that.
You bring up an interesting point Ms.K. That's something I'm going to have to ponder for a little bit, but I'll come back to post when I have something valid to add to your discussion. I'd never really thought about that before.
Sometimes you make me cry.
But on topic ... there is definitely something about some voices that are hypnotizing. I like interesting voices - I don't know if it's Fe, probably more Ne - where they go all over the place and do unexpected things. I can't stand listening to people who talk in a monotone. Or really abrasive or shrill voices.
FWIW, I've seen at least one case at work where my ILI coworker has put in the notes about a man she spoke to on the phone having a sexy voice. Not sure if that's entirely related to the OP or not, but meh.
Ha! So funny that I was just posting in this thread because a guy with a very thick accent just came up to me (I'm at work right now) and asked me where he could find a scanner and I was so intrigued by the way he said "a scanner" that I had to ask him to repeat himself.
scooner?
I love accents but I don't think I'm ever hypnotized by them, they are more fun and usually I try to joke around and mimic the accent the best I can :p Though I definitely like UK related accents on men, definitely gives them a lot of points :D
Does anyone want to see my brand new combine harvester, ooh argh, ooh argh?
I used to hang out with this girl from Ireland back when she was training with me here. There were a few times where she'd be saying something and I'd get hung up on certain words or phrases, and how she said them, that I'd have to ask her to repeat a few things from that point on...lol. I guess that qualifies for what you're asking here. :p
i hear loads of accents everyday...some interest me more if they belong to a pleasant sounding voice, or deeper one on a man. and all depends on the accent to...im partial to boston accents lately....(been hanging out with 4 people from there with fairly heavy accents). i was going to list more...but i think there is a thread like that already...some where....
After pondering this question long and hard, I've decided that different types may or may not enjoy an accent for different reasons. For instance, I tend to enjoy accents because they're an interesting quirk. They set you apart. If that accent becomes difficult to understand, then it becomes an exciting game to try and puzzle out what they're saying, which I would relate back to Ti. Other people might not enjoy a tricky accent because they don't find it practical (Delta STs?). In any case, that's about as far as I want to take this subject on my list of things to ponder.
