Kakuro > Sudoku. I can end up doing either for hours, though, if I'm not careful.
And logic puzzles: yuck!
My dad totally pushed math puzzles on all us kids, so we're used to 'em. Kakuro used to be cross sums and sudoku used to be magic square. Growing up in an intensely intellectual environment trumps type at least in my case ...
have you guys ever done Killer Sudoku? Where the answers have to add up to the number in the corner? I think it's a lot more fun than regular Sudoku. Here's a link:

I still enjoy Sudoku.
heh I amend my statement. My friend has that app on her iPhone, so while I was waiting for her the other day I did some for a few hours. They're fun.
I personally prefer KenKen because the strategy for solving isn't USUALLY as repetitive as Sudoku.
Yeah, I've been known to play sudoku when I'm bored. I usually go online where it tracks my best times and race the clock. That or I play Samurai Sudoku. That usually takes up a fair amount of time.
I hate sudoku. My dad, EII, used to love it but i don't know that he bothers any more.

This is a silly discussion as anyone could enjoy sudoku for any random number of reasons. Maybe they like the idea of keeping their brain sharp, maybe they like puzzle games, maybe they have a thing for numbers, maybe they used to play with someone they were close to, and they do it to remind them of those past times, ect...
Sudoku isn't a numbers game beyond using numbers to fill the gaps of arbitrary symbols. The numbers used in sudoku could be any symbol as long as there are 9 symbols used consistently. If you're into Klingons, I present you with :
Klingon Sudoku.
I always play traditional 9x9 sudoku matrices in hexadecimal.
The arbitrariness, another reason I prefer KenKen. Anyways, enough of my puzzle bias.
