Since you probably went to bed before I saw your message in the chatbox, I thought you’d be amused to know that even Karl Marx dissed The Economist. In Chapter 6 of The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon, he called it “the organ of the aristocracy of finance.” As I recall he mentions it a few times outside that work too fairly negatively.
