She does, but it's not something an Fe PoLR (who values Fi) does not do, either. I'll even try to be emotionally expressive or go out of my way to reach out to someone if I think I have something to offer. Though I don't have any excellent arguments for her type either way.

Rei as ESI isn't totally impossible if I were to imagine her as a really quiet and introspective Kurapica, but I am almost positive she is Ni leading and Fe PoLR.

I didn't realize the last angel was so popular, but it was just the way he came off that interested me, I guess.

I could identify somewhat with Shinji and with his general withdrawn, introspective nature, being Ni base and Ni subtype of my own type.

Rei's character wasn't sufficiently unveiled for me to relate to her and I don't think the viewer was meant to be able to connect too deeply to a character who more or less represents mystery and something difficult to know, though some of her musings were, while being far more abstract, were similar to some of the experiences I have had in my more philosophical meditations. But her general nature at school and wherever I can relate to from when I was her age since I was always deep in thought and never really spoke with anyone unless perhaps spoken to.

I also had a certain draw to the last angel. He was...I dunno. Certainly more outwardly emotional than I am, but I really would have liked to have known more about his character.

It was good at first until all the budget cut drama which is partially why NGE is as famous as it is (because of the behind the scenes drama with the TV network, fan hate mail to the creator, and such).

I watched though don't know if I would watch it again. I find the symbolic message to be obscure and I question if there really is some immense deep meaning to all of this talk about Angels and whatnot.

I found the series to pull at something in me...creeped me out a bit, especially concerning the Angels and the Evangelions and the truth behind both.

So I can't say how pretentious I think it is. The last few episodes actually made a certain amount of sense to me, which seems hard to believe.

Though with all the hype surrounding the show, I was a bit disappointed. My ILE friend wasn't too crazy about it, especially with the last few mind fuck episodes.

I haven't watched the movies or anything yet to get more clarity on what the series is trying to convey, really, but it definitely was an Ni head trip.

The main drawback, for me, I think, was my inability to actually LIKE any of the characters. For some reason, they all grated on my nerves, not just Asuka (or Shinji for that matter...heh, a friend of mine absolutely hates Shinji)

But mind you, I am a pretty...hard-nosed critic when it comes to anime. I'm extremely particular.

What did you think of it? Your perception of it might help me to see it in a different context.

Fi creative because I see her as an irrational by her behavior. She kind of has that spontaneous EP temperament to her. There's no way she is EJ. However, I did consider EIE, but I mean, not to go into stereotypes, but her messiness is to the extent that such would be unheard of from any rational type, imo. I have her down, as said, as being an extrovert and as an ethical type. So naturally, being that and EP, she would either be IEE or SEE.

Funny enough, some people have typed him as EII. I never understood why.

And yeah, I was thinking IEE for Misato or at least Fi creative, but SEE doesn't fit well.

Asuka: SLE
Rei: ILI-Ni

Yeah, I've watched it and somewhat recently. I've got some ideas on the types and I know some people brought up some of the characters some years ago so I doubt no one (aside from me) would reply.

Yeah, I was thinking PM but didn't want to sound too out of bounds by suggesting that. Even if it is the Internet, it can be awkward.

Yeah, I am sure of my type. Def. Ni leading and realize I fit better as Te creative, Fe PoLR, Fi Ha, Se DS, and so on. And I def. have the strongest relations with SEEs and other gammas in general.

Is there any particular IM you have particular problems with?
