Socionics is a theory of information processing and personality type, distinguished by its information model of the psyche, called Model A, and a model of interpersonal relations. It incorporates Carl Jung's work on Psychological Types with Antoni Kępiński's theory of information metabolism. Socionics is a modification of Jung's personality type theory that uses eight psychic functions. These functions process information at varying levels of competency and interact with the corresponding function in other individuals, giving rise to predictable reactions and impressions—a theory of intertype relations.
Socionics was developed in the 1970s and '80s, primarily by the Lithuanian researcher Aušra Augustinavičiūtė, an economist, sociologist, and dean of the Vilnius Pedagogical University's department of family science. A. Augustinavičiūtė has later shortened her last name from "Augustinavichiute" to "Augusta" to make it easier to spell for foreigners. The name "socionics" is derived from the word "society", because A. Augusta believed that each personality type has a distinct purpose in society, which can be described and explained by socionics. Augusta created symbols to represent the functions described by Carl Jung and — together with a circle of fellow researchers/hobbyists — eventually created what is known as the "socionic model of the psyche" — a description of the psyche where each of the 8 information elements has its place in each person's psyche.
The central idea of socionics is that information is intuitively divisible into eight categories, called information aspects or information elements, which a person's psyche processes using eight psychological functions. Each sociotype has a different correspondence between functions and information elements, which results in different ways of perceiving, processing, and producing information. This in turn results in distinct thinking patterns, values, and responses to arguments, all of which are encompassed within socionic type. Socionics' theory of intertype relations is based on the interaction of these functions between types.

It is probably safe to put yolandi rest in beta. The stuff is clearly blown off proportions so I don't want to type them as real peeps.
BrightDemonSheep96 Today, 09:33 PMI am settled on my type
about "figuring myself out" it seems that I have had a (negatively) distorted and confused sense
Generally, I'd go with a Clint Eastwood flick, particularly of the spaghetti western variety.
Stray Cat Today, 08:36 PMI think I’ll likely take a break from it at some point. It’s been a good distraction/ learning experience in lock down (almost a bit too distracting),
Bethany Today, 08:36 PMHonestly I feel people are too dynamic to line up with tests most of the time. It's best to just look into the theory and if you struggle reading yourself,
Zyan Today, 08:23 PMYes, this may add significant distortion to tests when you know the theory and have an opinion about own types traits. Similar distortion happens with
Sol Today, 07:07 PMidk if I resorted to dual seeking function when stressed, since this was well before I knew socionics. I guess as far as I could tell, I sought more of
asd Today, 06:57 PMYeah. Sounds like that. I love the shit talk. Me and my SLI bestfriend are often taking the piss on others lol. An ESE-LII worst nightmare.
Dr PissBender Today, 06:10 PMDefinitely. Nothing is the same on the internet and it’s nearly impossible to reach my negativistic duals who keep almost everyone at a distance

Dual contact, dual relations, relationships of duality, relationship of complete mutual complementarity ... All of these phrases describe the same intertype relation, which constitutes the essence of discovery made by A. Augusta that paved the way to the amazing concept of socionics.
Indeed, when you're observing a dual pair, an impression arises, as A. Augusta writes, that in front of your eyes is a separated androgenous pair - so organic, natural, and comfortable... read more
