What is it like when you have a Ti revelation? Does it have anything to do with Fe? (The two functions seem to exist on the same axis, so to speak, since they both judge.) I do appreciate the candid, vulnerable expression of emotions because it shows where you stand with me and leaves very little to nothing in terms of guesswork. Fi seems repressed, ha. Yes, that's exactly it - they don't feel at odds with anyone they work with. For example, I recently played a game in which one of my teammates was American and the other was Peruvian. The American told the Peruvian to "go back to Mexico", as though the Peruvian was an illegal immigrant. This incident made the atmosphere feel awkward and rough, so I smoothed things over; I knew our team would lose if I didn't. What does Xaiviay mean, btw? Also, I noticed in the pictures thread that you were in Sedona. I've been there myself several times. Did you enjoy it?
I think it's awesome, too I would never think in those terms on my own, but it's interesting how physicists and mathematicians find underlying logical patterns to reality. To you, that core is basically self-evident. To me, it's a revelation. Lol, yes at least Fe...I think Fe-egos have very blatant emotions most of the time, so there's not much guessing about how we feel. Ti-egos might appreciate that? Whereas Fi keeps things on the down-low, which can be exhausting to read if your Fi is not strong. Yes, I often appreciate solutions ^_^ You said - "I think when people have confidence and feel open, like in the context you try to create, they tend to achieve their goals more effectively. If you're working on a team and you notice that everyone has a positive rapport with each other, you know they'll meet their objectives fairly well, at least. In contrast, if someone spoils the mood, the negative vibes tend to create detrimental issues in terms of results." Hmm, I don't think about this often, but you're right! I try to create this automatically, and don't often question why. But you just illustrated a concrete reason for it's value. It's true most people work best when the atmosphere is positive, and they don't feel at-odds with anybody they are working with.
That's an awesome quote. It's interesting how he saw it as being in the universe and that he knew that it existed. The core does seem very self-evident. I would say that I'm not easily overwhelmed by others' emotions, lol. At least, when the emotions are expressed through Fe. And yes, I'm pretty solution oriented. I think when people have confidence and feel open, like in the context you try to create, they tend to achieve their goals more effectively. If you're working on a team and you notice that everyone has a positive rapport with each other, you know they'll meet their objectives fairly well, at least. In contrast, if someone spoils the mood, the negative vibes tend to create detrimental issues in terms of results. So I value it when people make an effort to create an uplifting atmosphere. Have you noticed these things?
Ohhh I see yes Plato's theory of forms does seem like a product of Ti! Especially Ti paired with some kind of intuition as well, very interesting. It kind of reminds me of some of the quotes from Nikola Tesla (who I'm pretty sure was ILE-Ti?) Like this one- That's cool though, I always appreciate an underlying Ti system to make sense of the world. It's hard for me to have confidence in my own Ti, but without some logical system, I feel lost and have a harder time being confident in my decisions :/ So you do like to teach people concepts Yes, I think that critical thinking and conceptual understanding are important. Hmm...when I do have a goal, it's usually just to establish an atmosphere of "I like you as a person, you like me as a person, and we're in good standing with each other." I'll try to make them feel comfortable and accepted enough to open up and share more of their inner thoughts/feelings. If I feel that they need it, I will try to cheer people up, boost their confidence, make them feel motivated, or otherwise care for them emotionally... Otherwise, I just want my emotions to be heard. One thing that I like about Ti-creative types is that they take whatever emotion I'm expressing very well, even if I'm feeling very negative emotions. They're not easily overwhelmed by it all. They just talk to me in a detached way about whatever problem is bugging me until we figure out a solution. My emotions can be very chaotic and I don't always have a goal with them, but it's really nice to be able to express myself freely with somebody who's not easily overwhelmed.
My Ti is like a way of processing concepts and arguments in a way that's more or less detached from direct experience. I think that when Plato created his theory of forms, he was probably referencing a world brought about by his Ti. His theory of forms was that there was a world outside of our sense experience that we can access through contemplation and critical thinking, and that this world gave access to true knowledge. I do like to teach people concepts (like the one I just referenced, lol) because they give people a deeper understanding of critical topics or issues. I think we could have all the direct experience of the world we want, but if we lack discernment and critical thinking, then we won't gain wisdom because we won't make nuanced decisions. So, I think critical thinking and conceptual understanding is important. When you impact the emotions of others, are you looking for results? If so, what kinds of results do you want?
Oh, yes I think so... usually just for one person at a time. Trying to manage a whole group at once (like Fe-leads do) gets overwhelming and draining. I will try to impact the emotions of someone I'm talking with if they seem open to it, I guess? Not all people are. I try to make people feel appreciated and encouraged, when I can. Do you mind telling me about your Ti? I've read that lots of ILEs like teaching people the concepts they've learned, stuff like that.
Do you spend a lot of your energy managing the mood of the people in your environment?
Hello, Moderator. Yes please x'D
Hey. I'm trying to figure out if SEI is my dual. Would you like to be my test subject?
