Wow, I didn't know you were adopted. That's really sad. I guess I don't relate to orphans because I'm not jewish or poor, but I do have empathy, because my psychiatrist keeps telling me that sociopaths lack empathy, so I'm trying really hard to prove her wrong so i can get out of this dumb hospital. Ugh, I hate going to take a shower and finding four military wives laying on the floor with their wrists slit, it's like, dude, do that someplace where washing doesn't happen..... but anyway, yeah, so I'm really trying to be empathetic these days. Your story is so heartchilling and it makes me want to cry, but I don't know how yet(working on that too). I remember when I was a young boy I was playing with the neighborhood kids and we were playing street hockey but then the ball went down a drain and we were reallly bummed out but then we saw some fresh concrete and decided to write our initials in it, so my friends did theirs first and then I started too but then halfway some guy got out of a car and was yelling at us and I was really scared, he had a badge so I thought he was a cop and he told me he was going to take me home and tell my parents that I was vandalizing city property, but then I got in the car and they took me to this house and locked me in the basement and made me put their pee thingies in my mouth and in my butt and they touched my privates, and then i escaped when they were sleepin b/c they had really good sex(wit me) so they was rreeeeally tired(daddy taught me that) and then I ran home and cried and told police, it was horrifying. Anyway, after that I just shell of a man and have family and kids but ya know, idk, i guess i want to find a nice person to oh, nm, gotta go, psychiatrist is back1!!
I was adopted and can remember a brief time I had to live in an orphanage after my parents died so Oliver Twist is weirdly personal for me. I've read it a couple of times. Might be one of my favorites.
