Well I'm watching the film now. I'm pretty sure the disconnect between them that you are picking up on is perhaps Fe/Fi values rather than rationality and irrationality which don't really exist in a socionics sense anyway.
I don't know, really. I watched it for the first time last night, and my impression was that she's rational and he's irrational. I guess they could be duals, as someone suggested, but I'm not so sure....
