  1. The problem here is that both make a ton of sense on the surface.

I've found the boundary between "Alpha" and "Beta" to be more permeable than it should be; tcaud, labcoat (I've a post to respond to on that case as well), HaveLucidDreamz, all of them have, on occasion, done things that have come off to me as Beta in nature far moreso than Alpha, and I need to know what to attribute that to. The Ne Demonstrative thread has a similar issue with it, and then there's the split in peoples' typings of hitta and Gilly...

Long story short (I could lengthen it if you want more rationale), due to loads of facts on the ground, I've been seeing the arrangement of the functions, and by consequence the positions as far as dichotomies are concerned, in a person, to be partially fluid and situationally specific, with Rational/Irrational, Positivist/Negativist, and Extratim/Introtim generally and visibly holding the strongest from my vantage point, and in roughly descending order... I recall Smilingeyes saying somewhere that temperaments are the only hard-and-fast things, though I'd go a bit farther than that...

If I were to look at the three, I'd have to pick Positivist, Extratim, and Irrational for you, once again, in roughly descending order. The questionnaire you made/give to people, with asking someone five questions, and then asking them the exact opposite, looks to me like a purposeful means of approaching Negativism; when I see you do stuff more on the fly, out comes the Positivism.

Staying within the Merry quadras, as you're obviously a / valuer, this would leave ILE, ESE, LSI, and IEI. You're more rigid, in a specific manner, than the Vortical-Synergistic ESEs and IEIs are, LSI is hard for me to see you as, your way of approaching things comes off as really compartmentalized in that Alpha way, and the part about me not having my own opinions brings to my mind the ILE Aushra Augusta herself, who frequently and furiously called people out on the same exact grounds.

I'll have to go with you as Ti-ILE; if you're damn sure you're in Beta, I'd say Fe-IEI is more likely than Fe-EIE. EIE isn't a horrible typing, or too far removed, if at all, from a good typing, it's just not the one I see...

And yes, as usual, being E3 complicates the living shit out of things
  2. You said you thought ENFJ was a good typing. You then acted as if you'd disagreed all along, implicitly questioning my competence in the process.

I'm used to people here thinking I'm an idiot -- everyone here's bloody clueless, so it's to be expected. I don't enjoy being led to believe you're on my side, then blindsided like this. You need to actually get an opinion of your own bro.
  3. ouch!

What did I do exactly? I need to know, so we can get to the bottom of this; whatever I did was either accidental, intentional, or partially both... I expect this to be interesting...
  4. You two-faced little cunt.

When you change your mind, it's appropriate to, you know, actually change your mind. Which does not entail acting like you'd disagreed all along, and burying the person you agreed with in the process. That's called backstabbing.
  5. "What made you go that route as opposed to SEE-SLI?"

Expressive, in no way directly controlling, but somewhat subtly manipulative in the way you appear to be friendly and seek ingratiating yourself with everybody (very fitting of SEE ).

As for your type in other systems, I'd go with ENFJ for your MBTI. You seem very easily able to bend your mindset to accommodate others you're around, to ingratiate yourself to them, for their sake or for your own ends. Sounds verily like Fe and Ni, with tertiary Se. Enneagram-wise, your self-typing seems right (I could easily see Social 2w3 over 3w2, but you seem less self-aware than a 2 would be). From what little of you I know you seem more 9 than 1 though -- I'd say 3w2 > 9w1 > 7w6 so/sx.
  6. Awesome thanks good call on SEE-SEI for me! What made you go that route as opposed to SEE-SLI? It's a tough call for me; if I were to dual-type, one SEE I know is SEE-EIE, and another is SEE-IEE, and going strictly by relations, SEE-SEI would make more sense for me; I can think of no way for me to strictly choose one over the other, so I might change it (also, I think Absurd and crazedrat had me as SEI at one point in time, so I might as well throw that all on the pile too)...

And yes, I must be Irrational as all hell

And yep, the SLE I know has some pretty bad blunders; I can gloss over a lot of them, I think the dude means well, but still... ughhh...

A lot of this gets tricky when it's only in the form of raw text, with no voice tones and gestures to work around with, and especially when the person in question is an Enneagram 3 - I've set off a lot of false positives for IEE; I know quite a few IEEs, I talk to IEEs, I've done a lot of things with IEEs, and I'm no IEE...

And yep, "sexy Aleksei" was more or less what I referred to Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom as for ages - there was this musical friend I had/have who was obsessed with Alexi Laiho, and I always called him "sexy Alexi" the name hung dormant as the old friend headed his own route, and then I found another Alexsei to apply it to...

And yes, I must be Irrational as all hell
  7. Oh btw,

    " sorry, sexy Aleksei"

I'm flattered that you think of me that way, I really am. But I don't swing that way bro. Sorry.
  8. Incidentally, you are definitely SEE-Irrational, and I'm fairly sure you're SEE-SEI from our discussion so far.
  9. Hmm... leading manifests as a natural inclination for performance and expression, which is not to say that you've any talent at the performing arts (many EIEs don't), so much as that you're attuned to what gets a positive reaction from people, and your focus primarily is on entertaining. I personally find that I'm very expressive and I have natural talent at acting and impression, and I'm very good at being friendly and falling in well with other people. I'm also an excellent public speaker, though my abilities at it are marred significantly by a slight speech impediment (undiagnosed, possibly neurological in nature).

But what solidly sets me apart from ILEs (and SLEs) as -leading, I think, is that I'm not PoLR. A common mistake people make is to assume that egos are perennially cordial and not inclined to rudeness. The reality is that Fe-egos are not so much impervious to tactlesness, but rather unintentional tactlessness. xLEs, I find, are quite genuinely surprised to find that they've overstepped their boundaries or that they're not liked, and often don't understand why the other person is offended. I usually get where the other person is coming from, and I'm more often than not fully aware of when I'm being unreasonably hostile -- in many cases my anger is just stronger than that (something that Gilly seems to share), and in many others I actually hold back because of it. I think I'd probably be far less reserved/withdrawn than I am if I actually did have as a blind spot.
  10. thanks for the happy birthday! It was a good one this time...

And yep, that sounds a little beyond my extent of devaluing, though it's a hard call... I considered LIE a lot a long time ago, though that's been fading a lot to the back of my mind, moreso and moreso as time passes...

I noticed that xxTp and xxFj get mistaken for each other an absolute ton... people have eight functions of varying strengths, which I can see changing over time... what would make you lead with ? I don't know if I can find it well in text, so if I miss it, then that's a thing that'll happen, especially due to you being typed Ni-EIE as opposed to Fe-EIE (which could also account for much of the vibe difference between you and the other EIEs, being that extraordinarily deep into an Ni subtype)...
