Oh also, happy belated birthday.
Oh, another thing worth noting is that I grew up in a very driven culture (SEI-SEE 9w1), so even with PoLR some of it had to rub off. Looking at the Si PoLR description I seriously agree with all of it sans a couple sentences. I procrastinate far too much, I loathe taking care of minor details (waste of time), I grossly neglect my personal upkeep and (most importantly) feel annoyed and pestered when I'm reminded of it, and finally while I do enjoy good food and the like, I can readily go without, and usually do rather than forgo doing anything more interesting.
hey bro, you didn't answer my question.
Where did you see coming from me, if you don't mind me asking? I'm curious.
Yeah, Ni-ILE would be Ne-ILE. I could see you as SEE-SLI (or SEE-SEI -- you certainly seem fairly expressive). I wouldn't really say the subtypes are truly connected to the actual types they represent; they're more motivation tendencies that people fill using their own function profiles. For example, an EIE-Ne would have a greater creative output than other EIEs, but this output is likely to stem from rather than . And so on. I do realize personality is malleable, but I've no issue with getting down to specifics regarding my typings, because I just think they can change. I don't buy that a person is the same type all their lives -- let alone the same subtype. In fact, I've been developing a shadow progression theory based on Gilly's quadra progression stuff -- in essence, I think that the Ignoring function represents hidden tendencies within our personality, which can become stronger as we mature, and aid us in becoming more well-rounded individuals. I've noticed, for example, that ESEs and EIEs feel pulled towards taking care of others' feelings, and IEIs towards becoming more creative for the sake of it -- against their will; something that less mature ones don't wanna deal with but they feel they have to. I've a PM example from an ESE friend of mine: I work with people all day every day and by the end of the day I'm so tired of dealing with people and fixing their stupid problems that I happily retreat home and hide out there avoiding most of the world... damned people and their always needing something :steam: worse yet, I actually feel sorry for people and tend to help them out- partially just so that they'll shut up and leave me alone and partially because it's the right thing to do... this is draining I'd really rather just have fun! Why can't people just be fun and not always be asking for stuff
I saw you use quite a few times; I wasn't sure if it was potent enough to overshadow all that made me think ILE, and I wonder how much of this is due to me not seeing as something separate from myself enough to recognize as sticking out... when everything is reduced to raw text, my accuracy plummets (which is why I don't do too many typings in that manner)! And yes, a lot of what's mentioned in that chat strikes me as Aristocratic, and that's a Reinin I put a lot of weight on myself I'm the other way around, Democratic as all hell - usually, I just see a lot of people, nothing less, nothing more... I go Accepting/Producing for subtypes, so Ni-ILE would fall under the umbrella of Ne-ILE (which would contain all of H-ILE and C-ILE, and nothing else); it was this pooling of all subtypes together as Ps and Js that made me go Se-SEE for certain... and if you go EIE-IEI, that would be Ni-EIE for you (as well as H-IEI)? I strip down to Se-SEE; I see people as analog, situational things, always dependent on what's around them, so I leave breathing room; I went SEE-SLI for the dual typing thing, and I suspect much of that is due to being around so many people in Delta for a big stretch... And yep, seeing "S" and "N" as homogeneous groups, as opposed to seeing grouped with and grouped with as two sides of the same coin, is a good way for people to mistype; I suspect that's behind a lot of mistypings (I'm about ready to call one out, but I want the perpetrator to give me just a little more rope haha)...
[7/8/2011 10:19:11 PM] darkmasterjoey: Anyway, I went back into the Politics forum and BAM. Pure Ni after 3 or 4 posts. [7/8/2011 10:19:17 PM] Winter: hot [7/8/2011 10:19:33 PM] darkmasterjoey: Yeah [7/8/2011 10:19:52 PM] darkmasterjoey: I posted two Ni-riddled posts from PoFo on the thread I made. [7/8/2011 10:20:08 PM] darkmasterjoey: one on the min wage, one on India. [7/8/2011 10:25:04 PM] Winter: sorry internet died!!! [7/8/2011 10:25:25 PM] darkmasterjoey: hahaha don't worry. [7/8/2011 10:25:46 PM] Winter: but yeah, i dont see you as an alpha [7/8/2011 10:26:00 PM] Winter: i see you a lot as a beta... you talk about your friends a lot [7/8/2011 10:26:07 PM] Winter: which to me shows me group mentality [7/8/2011 10:26:18 PM] darkmasterjoey: I'm definitely aristocratic as hell [7/8/2011 10:26:18 PM] Winter: but also i notice we talk about emotions in a very controled manner [7/8/2011 10:26:24 PM] Winter: between ourselves [7/8/2011 10:26:28 PM] darkmasterjoey: Which is why I never bought Alpha [7/8/2011 10:26:36 PM] Winter: like... we'll be open about it, but never so much engaging said emotion [7/8/2011 10:27:15 PM] Winter: also you have the same sexual energy i get from other betas [7/8/2011 10:27:39 PM] darkmasterjoey: oooh, typology by boners [7/8/2011 10:27:42 PM] darkmasterjoey: me likey [7/8/2011 10:27:52 PM] darkmasterjoey: in what way do you mean [7/8/2011 10:27:55 PM] Winter: its totally true though [7/8/2011 10:28:21 PM] Winter: at my gatherings its really obvious... Sam Bradley (Moredhel) is one of the only non betas in my group of friends [7/8/2011 10:28:47 PM] Winter: well... you're a lot more open about sexuality but not in an aggressive manner. it's just casual conversation [7/8/2011 10:28:56 PM] Winter: but not unlike any other topic [7/8/2011 10:29:24 PM] Winter: i noticed betas seem to be very casual about sex as a conversational topic and dont have to change the mood [7/8/2011 10:29:42 PM] Winter: like.. alphas can be open too... but they seem to focus solely on that... and its almost like an effort [7/8/2011 10:29:52 PM] Winter: while betas switch back and forth between that and other topics [7/8/2011 10:31:17 PM] darkmasterjoey: Yeah, that makes sense [7/8/2011 10:31:54 PM] Winter: also your flirting is more daring [7/8/2011 10:32:01 PM] Winter: *shrugs* [7/8/2011 10:32:11 PM] Winter: btw, i think Limit is an SLE [7/8/2011 10:32:25 PM] darkmasterjoey: It's because 1) sex is not any sort of pressing concern for us, and 2) we're fairly uninhibited as far as what we can say or cannot say -- particularly in atmospheres where we feel comfortable. [7/8/2011 10:32:46 PM] darkmasterjoey: So for us it's like talking about hte weather. [7/8/2011 10:32:47 PM] darkmasterjoey: *the [7/8/2011 10:32:49 PM] Winter: yes, i definitely noticed that.
[7/8/2011 10:17:55 PM] Winter: well i dont see you as an alpha... [7/8/2011 10:17:58 PM] Winter: for a simple reason [7/8/2011 10:18:01 PM] darkmasterjoey: Problem is though that 1) I've developed my suggestive (it is actually still very shitty though), and 2) psychology debates don't lend themselves to Ni use. [7/8/2011 10:18:17 PM] Winter: you're very mujch aware of social dynamics and structure [7/8/2011 10:18:22 PM] Winter: you see the heirarchy [7/8/2011 10:18:31 PM] Winter: and you beeline to where you need to go and who you need to talk to [7/8/2011 10:18:45 PM] darkmasterjoey: Yeah, kind of instinctively so [7/8/2011 10:19:05 PM] Winter: indeed, which indicates Beta > Alpha to me
I've some feedback from a friend of mine (LSI), on why she's absolutely sure I'm EIE rather than ILE -- thought you might be interested. [7/8/2011 10:14:55 PM] Winter: after talking to you heaps [7/8/2011 10:14:59 PM] Winter: you're definitely an EIE [7/8/2011 10:15:10 PM] Winter: when i compare you to other EIEs [7/8/2011 10:15:21 PM] darkmasterjoey: Half the Socionics community thinks I'm ILE. [7/8/2011 10:15:30 PM] darkmasterjoey: Half the Socionics community are tards, however. [7/8/2011 10:15:32 PM] Winter: well... they're wrong. [7/8/2011 10:15:35 PM] Winter: end of story [7/8/2011 10:15:38 PM] darkmasterjoey: heh [7/8/2011 10:15:52 PM] Winter: i know lots of ILEs [7/8/2011 10:15:57 PM] Winter: and you certainly are not one [7/8/2011 10:16:12 PM] darkmasterjoey: How so? [7/8/2011 10:16:28 PM] Winter: you dont have the same skittish energy [7/8/2011 10:17:21 PM] darkmasterjoey: I was actually seriously having issues with that before -- I'd fit pretty much every marker for Beta NF, except... Ni use. I couldn't find where I use Ni.
Oh, and do you have MSN, AIM or something? I'm planning to leave this forum soon (in a rather spectacular manner -- don't miss it ), an I wouldn't wanna fall out of touch.
