I know it's commonly accepted for people to say the latter when they mean the former, but... it's a major pet peeve of mine. Does it bother you any?" Only when it is untrue. If you say, "Everyone has skin," I will agree with you. If you say, "Everyone knows who [some lady I've never heard of] is, I will disagree or assume that you think I am nobody, which could be insulting depending on my mood.
