I haven't thrown that type out the window, but please let me know how I could be a sensor. Not trying to derail the thread or anything, but not a single person has been able to give me any reason why I could possibly be a sensor. You probably didn't read my questionnaire, but S stuff is a huge problem for me, particularly Se, to the point where I almost retyped as EII because it feels more like my polr. Very unlikely I have 4d Se. I'm a huge pussy that can't make anything happen.

Irrationality and ADHD are different.

It needs be recalled that Jung's types were made to describe pathological psyche - they all are accentuations, the deviations from the ideal psyche. So you should find the similarity of types' traits with some of psyche diagnoses and clinical personality disorders.

The causes may differ, but there is much of similarity between ADHD and P. The attention is hard to keep on something - it easily jumps and makes hard to be controlled by own rational attitudes/functions. The main difference is that obligate for clinical diagnosis is the perception of the suffering of that person and/or of other people. While P people do not perceive own the lack of abbility for planing and following to plans as significant issue - as have this problem as lesser expressed. Also to ADHD is related a pack of symptoms and social problems besides the issues with a planing.

Clinical analogues or close diagnoses for J should exist also. OCD is some close, for example. Though, most probably, OCD may exist at P types like ADHD at J types. Like the same symptoms may exist from different disorders (like high body's temperature).

I'm LIE-Te with 4D Ne, and if I'm bored as hell with what I'm doing, I can be distracted in a heartbeat. I don't think I quality for ADD or ADHD, though.

I do, however, focus on tasks using stimulants (coffee). I believe one of the ways doctors calm down hyperactive kids is by giving them a stimulant.

I was diagnosed with the disorder when I was in 2nd grade (I think). I don't actually think it was ADHD, but rather my Socionics type.

I got diagnosed off of the traits that I have, being:
1. Quickly corrects factual inaccuracies
2. Doesn't treat authority as deserving more respect
3. Does not care for things I deem busywork. I will outright reject busywork.
4. Fidgets when bored

These traits are all pretty common with LIEs. Correcting factual inaccuracies is common in us. Not treating authority as different is a manifestation of Renin's Democratic dichotomy. Not caring for busywork is probably due to already having set out plans (which LIEs usually have). And fidgeting when bored is a sign of an EJ temperament. So I actually think ADHD is somewhat unlikely. If I do have it, it's very minor.

i dont like people try to separate "illnesses" or "neurodivergences" from their types. i keep seeing it again nd again and again. it is your type but guess what its also ADHD. it is what it is. all N types are likely autistic or ADHD if not both
