Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function(extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).
For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

Yeah, SEE sounds very much right.
Also, you commented on preferring Ni to Se. People actually much prefer their suggestive to their leading, as their suggestive complements their dominant, and is something they're not very good at generating. As a result they can't get enough of it.
So it stands to reason if you are SEE, that your very favorite function would be Ni.

Anyway I think the deciding factor is emotional drive vs physical inertia. Those two qualities are completely distinct between the two types.
SEE is focused on "acquisition of value" more than ILI. For the latter, those aspects are unconscious.
