Maybe he's super new to Socionics and doesn't understand the functions yet.
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Okay, I think I'll try to clear this up.. I took MBTI personality test, and I received ISTP (I've taken several, and it's always this).
I've taken Socionics, and i've recieved SLI, which contradicts the above, I know.
But lastly, I took a cognitive processes test, which is the theory for both, and I got
Ti/Fi/Si/Se - If i remember correctly, Ti and Se are ISTP traits, while Fi and Si are ISTJ traits (In MBTI, in socionics, the P/J are swapped).
Because of this, it's very close between the two, but the cognitive processes test said I was still ISTP despite this.. so that's what i'm going with.. If this does not make sense for some reason, please explain so I understand the problem.
The website for the cognitive processes test is here : http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/as...velop_old.HTML

okay...
If ur MBTI ISTP (by the functions) then you're socionics ISTj
Now the valued function for an ISTj are Ti Se Ni Fe
And you would not be an SLI you'd be a LSI
Well you'll prolly end up being socionically ass-raped about your type anyways soon, so dont get all certain lol.
The end is nigh
Yeah. These people still haven't realized that I'm an ESE yet

Not really. It just happens that introverted types are more often the same type in both typologies.
MBTI Ti =/= Socionics Ti, and the same goes for all the functions. They have different descriptions, the socionics ones being closer to Jung's original definitions...
I, for instance, am an ISTP in both MBTI and Socionics.
So the j/p does not necessarily switch. It can, but it doesn't have to. Most of the time it does not.

There's no such thing as a theory for both. MBTI and Socionics are different, unrelated theories. They only share the same roots in Carl Jung's work.
I've taken cognitive assessments before and they have all been based upon the Myers-Briggs typology. I will assume the one you've taken was too.
This is like a 19th century myth, lol.

I agree with WP. It's not as easy at just switching the j/p when moving from the MBTI to Socionics. The functions descriptions are intrinsically different and have very different descriptions. I would just disregard all of the MBTI function descriptions, haha.

Yeah, Winterpark I freaking know.
Thats why I said "Dont get so certain about your type."
Also, there is at the most a poor correlation between MBTI and socionics. So I don't think an ISTP is necessarily an ISTp either.

I'll add to the cacophony of differing perspectives by proposing that you read machine translations of Russian articles on Model T.
