Your brevity is genius. But then how will I fulfill my dream of preaching "kum bay ya" to the masses? I say we let deal Congress with this one. They can handle it; they've always got everyone by the balls anyway. Might as let them poke there dicks in our eyes too. It makes a good sociology cultural stew. You know, if the shoe fits and it's not full of flamming doo-doo, the world will keep spinning and you get new shoes they say. Hey, you have change for a dollar? Let me get the change first and then I'll give you the dollar. I'm also taking collections to start my new religion. It'll feature some new faux method on how to empower yourself using fake science and will involve aliens 'n shit with space ships and lasers for "el primo awesomo dinero generator effect". If people want, I'll even make it so we get virgins to fuck for eternity when we die no matter how you live your life. Second thought, that would be good, then people will commit suicide instead of populating. Oh well...so if I'm not on ignore, your rebuttal you fine strapping lad?

All dominant subtype ideologies are bullshit. Bullshit is what dominant subtypes do.

If you've read something about sociology you would know it's not bullshit.

It's like saying history is bullshit.

I just had a course in it. Yeah it's bullshit alright. Conflict and functionalism are both broken.

Hey Consentingadult, have you read 'an introduction to the philosophy of science' ?

I believe they use that book in the first year. Very interesting book.

No I haven't. At the UvA, another book is used for Philosophy of Science ('Social Science in Question' by M.J. Smith, more geared towards social science). Since I'm part-time student, I won't be touching that book until my 2nd year.
