+Attent=high desire for attention, acknowledgement, and/or interaction (specific attentional needs vary from type to type)

Self=more interested in oneself than in others when interacting

Companionate=High attachment-seeking, low emotionality (companionate types are likely to be loyal, cool-headed, and dependable, with a long-term temporal orientation)

Acute=Low attachment-seeking, high emotionality (acute types tend toward extremes, and temporal orientation is mostly immediate)

Distant=Low attachment-seeking, low emotionality (distant types are the most autonomous and the most avoidant)

    You scored 26% Attention-desiring, 41% Other-directedness, 75% Attachment-desiring, 61% Emotionality, 64% Romance-seeking, 10% Range, and 40% Secureness.

    Your Bonding Quadrant: Merging

Summary: You tend to live in your own head and do not get too invested in the details of others' lives, but you do make an effort to hold onto important relationships, especially sexual/romantic ones. It is important that your relationships be close and intense while not robbing you of your autonomy. You are likely to be shy and to expend much of your mental energy towards self-doubt, shame, embarrassment, etc. If you haven't done so already, consider sexual masochism as a hobby.

    The Nonchalant Lover

    -Attent/Other/-Attach/+Emo/+<3/Narrow/Secure

    You scored 48% Attention-desiring, 70% Other-directedness, 49% Attachment-desiring, 73% Emotionality, 62% Romance-seeking, 31% Range, and 71% Secureness.

    Your Bonding Quadrant: Acute

Summary: You can do without much acknowledgment and recognition, and you enjoy spending time alone. Nevertheless, you like to have high-intensity, short-term interactions—especially sexual/romantic ones—but you don't put much effort into maintaining relationships. Living in the present and letting go when necessary appeals to you more than holding on.

im too lazy to do the test, but I am:

    +Attent
    Self focused
    +Attach
    +Emo
    +<3
Uhhh Broad actually. I realize I publicly talk about everybody's personal issues in public like most narcissists. OOPS.
And I'm Secure. I don't think other people will devalue me at all, instead I am more worried that I will hurt *other people's* feelings. In fact, people are too nice. People defend the demon in me too much. I wish people would stand up to me more and call me on my shit more often, actually. I need somebody tough like that.

Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

Hmm, do you disagree with +emo because of "emotionally intense", or because you identify with -emo and "unemotional"?

I identify more with -emo because I prefer less emotional relationships to more emotionally intense ones. Too much intensity scares me.

    The Barrel of Fun

    +Attent/Other/+Attach/-Emo/+<3/Broad/Secure

    You scored 86% Attention-desiring, 64% Other-directedness, 64% Attachment-desiring, 46% Emotionality, 72% Romance-seeking, 69% Range, and 69% Secureness.

    Your Bonding Quadrant: Companionate

Summary: You crave regular interaction and like to keep the focus on other people. You make an effort to hold onto friendships and sexual/romantic relationships with many different people. Interpersonal relationships are more about shared interests and/or lust than shared emotions for you.
What do these signs mean—, , etc.? Why cannot socionists use symbols Ne, Ni etc. as in MBTI? Just because they have somewhat different meaning. Socionics and MBTI, each in its own way, have slightly modified the original Jung's description of his 8 psychological types. For this reason, (Ne) is not exactly the same as Ne in MBTI.

Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function (extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).

For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

    +Attent/Other/+Attach/+Emo/+<3/Broad/Secure

    You scored 51% Attention-desiring, 77% Other-directedness, 60% Attachment-desiring, 77% Emotionality, 80% Romance-seeking, 68% Range, and 71% Secureness.
    Your Bonding Quadrant: Merging
Summary: Everyone within a five-mile radius knows who you are. Your high self-confidence and pushiness might scare some people away, but overall you have no problem making and keeping relationships. You're probably loud in bed.

Here is a glossary to help you understand the cryptic, septapartite notation of your SOI type:
-Attent=low desire for attention, acknowledgement, and/or interaction
+Attent=high desire for attention, acknowledgement, and/or interaction (specific attentional needs vary from type to type)

Self=more interested in oneself than in others when interacting
Other=more interested in others than in oneself when interacting
-Attach=does not seek out long-term attachments
    +Attach=seeks out long-term attachments
    -Emo=prefers unemotional relationships
    +Emo=prefers emotionally intense relationships
-<3=low desire for sex and/or romance
+<3=high desire for sex and/or romance
    Narrow=interacts with few people
    Broad=interacts with many people
    Insecure=expects negative evaluation from others
Secure=does not expect negative evaluation from others

Merging=High attachment-seeking, high emotionality (merging types are prone to obsession; devotion; identity crises; offspring)

Your Analysis (Vertical line = Average)

    • You scored 51% on Attention-desiring, higher than 48% of your peers.

    • You scored 77% on Other-directedness, higher than 68% of your peers.

    • You scored 60% on Attachment-desiring, higher than 42% of your peers.
