Yes, the 1 and 6 are strong in him. The counterphobic elements are enough to consider leading 6, but 1 probably wins out at the end of the day, since his work so consistently possesses tones of what he would consider to be purity, rightness, integrity, order, etc. 1 practically has a self evident sense of "rightness", and he comes across this way. I don't think he's indecisive enough to be core 6. When he was younger, he had even more pronounced E1 qualities.

Little known bit is that emotional stability is negatively correlated to type 1 & 5 along with 4 & 6, so any perceptible anxiousness could be related to several different enneagram types.

What do you mean when you say that "Nobody wants to be anything"? When online descriptions feed you information about your type that you don't particularly like while simultaneously feeding information about other types that makes them more attractive, it's likely that you'll want to attribute those qualities to yourself since you value them. It's why there are so many people in MBTI forums claiming to be INTJs when they aren't - the online descriptions (Keirsey in particular) paint the picture that the INTJ is some mastermind that is the cause of every great thing humanity has ever done. I understand why people would want to be be that.

Stepping outside the realm of online descriptions, many people in real life want to be someone they aren't because they have seen people with those characteristics succeed in realms they haven't. It's a perfectly normal thing. We just can't delude ourselves into thinking we're something we're not.

I see what you mean, but anxiousness is a distinct emotion, set apart from others. Therefore, just because a person is anxious doesn't mean that they exhibit the emotions associated with type 4 (shame) or type 1 ("righteous" anger). Peterson seems to have a lot of "righteous" anger, along with anxiousness. I think 1 and 6 are in his tritype. Probably leading 1. Not sure about the heart fix but 3 seems plausible.
