What is the source for those computer functional analysis of the types? I find them extremely useful, especially with the distinction between short and long range, such as the for ENTjs being actually - + and for ESTjs, + - .

So this is where it comes from. ...although the definitions are a bit different from yours...Their definition of -Ti actually sounds a little like some things you've said about +Ti.

Their definitions seem very nuanced; someone must have taken a lot of time to come up with all those descriptions. Because the differences between then +X and -X are rather subtle here, at first glance it would appear that every quadra is exactly the same...although if one reads more closely, there are differences of emphasis, which aren't necessarily the same ones in more typical Socionic models.

It would be worthwhile to try to find what article(s) this theory is from.

Apparently it was considered a "beta" model (not beta quadra but some sort of unfinished prototype).

Actually, though, the information is the same as the four pages you posted here, plus one particular definition of the 8 functions in Model A.

But the real question is where did Jimmy get that from.

The only things that is changed is that someone else said they didn't like it, so you conformed to them and said you didn't like it as well. When there was no opinion on it you were fine with it.

I think you have to give Expat a bit more credit than that. People investigating something do change their minds. At one time, Expat thought he was LII, I believe, Joy thought she was SEI, and Phaedrus considered himself LII long ago.

People do change their ideas and their models of things, and it's not as simple as just hearing someone else disagree and then conforming to the other person's view. I know your model equates Gamma with conformity somewhat, but Te and Ni is more about forming a mental model of what works, based on evaluating data.

I had the strangest dream last night. There was a club just for certain people to whom this theory of +Xa/-Xb being in the ego block applies particularly well. It was called the "Clean Mouth Club" because Rmcnew made sure everybody in it went to the dentist and brushed their teeth regularly.

(Sorry Rmcnew....but that was the dream. )
