Super-Id attacks

So, the Super-Id enjoys being helped and complimented... but how does it feel about being attacked or put down?

I must admit, Gulanzon, you come up with original ideas and questions.

As for this question: if someone attacks my super-id functions, I am ready to take them on anytime. But it of course depends on how they attack it. Someone might say I don't relax enough (Si-suggestive, in which case I might actually take the hint, so don't experience it like an atttack), or the might say I'm lazy (in which case I simply shrug it off with the comment that a) I've earned the right to be lazy, b) that doing nothing is actually doing something). As for the mobilizing function (Te), people might say I'm too perfectionistic (in which case I show them my €4000 -after taxes- payslip) or they say my pragmatist approach creates problem in the long run (which is typically said by Ti valuing people, in which case I simply point out the things that I have made possible and that wouldn't have been possible if I would have followed procedures, which would have made the company I work for miss market opportunities). Another example is when people attack my know-it-all-windbag attitude. Well, I've learned over the years that such comments are typically made by people who know nothing at all, and typically reap the benefits of that attitude (which is not very much imho).

Long story short: I know I'm not good at my super-id functions (in comparison to my ego functions), but even then I typically do a much better job than most other people who do my kind of work. So it's difficult to push my red buttons when it comes to my super-id.

Gosh, I almost sound like an LSE....

ETA: I forgot to say that that 4000 euros is for a 32 hour work week

No, and I never was. I wish I would, but I sincerely have the impression that the porn industry is largely about Betas and Gammas. E.g. I have Private Spice channel as part of the standard service, but I hate that kind of Beta porn. I do kind of appreciate the Gamma style porn of a director such as Andrew Blake, but I'm afraid he doesn't cast Deltas eithers.

I think many people will admit to the weakness in the hopes that it gets them help. Recently I was criticized for not socializing enough by a guy who I'm pretty sure is ESFj... I complained that I didn't know how, and he tried to explain how easy it was. I sort of held out by asking how to do things I knew I wouldn't be able to do until the conversation drifted to how his extroversion is a weakness sometimes... then I was able to make the point that introverts and extroverts balance each other.

Some people (those who don't want to look weak) will respond to it like a superego attack... by getting defensive and somehow claiming that the weakness isn't really there.

I think you are making a very valid point here: it's all about allowing yourself to be vulnerable (or have I misunderstood you?)
