You ever feel like emo and like you never belong but then like you hear that one special song or see that one movie or like see that one scene and like it totally fucking pwns your soul like people really *get* what you're all about. Like it kinda makes you happy and want to dance a little bit even though you're never the type of sort to be that elated about anything. Omg I love that feeling.

hell yes. but i am the type that gets that elated and will dance about it when it happens. that bi-polar tendency thing. in the shits one minute and then on top of the world the next.

yeah, i've always been told it was lame too. but, that doesn't stop me from doing it all the same.unfortunately, being told i was acting lame only perpetuates the emo because it isn't fun to act that way and i for many years have had a hard time "stopping" it. i've learned ways to deal and to pull myself out, but it's a natural thing that always comes back.

Emo is the new 'gay.' As in 'that's so gay' it really is 'that's so emo' now. I hate all-purpose insults. Shows how stupid the person is. But, it's part of youth culture and I'm a young man, so it's hard to get over it.
It was funny how I seemed to portray so many traits everybody doesn't like. I think it's because when you're emo you are real in a way people just can't handle. Like deeply philosophical in a way that is too painful. (Really when you think about it, everybody that's into religion and 'deeper meaning' is very emo. Can't they go around and play football or something?)
But I don't like dramatic displays of emoness, but more subdued. Like when people are still logical and sane, but clearly disturbed about something. I hate any kind of overhyped emotions, because it all seems fake to me. None of that 'wah wah wah I'm so sad my boyfriend died.' You know when my best friend had problems she didn't even tell me, I think that's a sign of strength. I think there are just things you need to work out on your own, and even though she was upset- I knew she would be able to get over it without doing faggy shit like 'expressing our feelings.'
But like with being gay, emos will move to college where they will be able to better intellectualize their thoughts and their way of life will be embraced and pampered by overly idealistic psychology types instead of mocked by asshats who can only do things besides criticize others, until they realize they have to get a real job and everybody turns out the same anyway. Way of the world, yo.
