Betas. I'm starting to think the other quadras don't exist IRL. If they do, I don't notice them. I guess I really only notice people who irritate me.

I have more IEI friends than of any other type. EIEs too; I notice them the most easily, but sometimes it's rough for us to get along well. As far as the type I run across the most in terms of actual number of people, probably SEI. I feel like I see fewer ILIs than any other type.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Mostly alpha SFs and IEIs. A couple of NF deltas in the wings. But one of my very best friends is a woman I met online over 10 years ago who is LII. We still email almost daily and we visit irl a couple times per year.

Far and away gammas. This is mostly because the ones I knew met and married their duals, thus doubling them The second greatest number is a tie between alpha and delta.

yeah I also find that a little strange that I don't really have alphas around. I do work with some but they are not really around me most in my life.

What is the most abundant type in your life?
Do you mean during the course of one's entire life thus far, or during this current phase? Types of the people you've come to know well? Or whomever surrounds you in your routines?

Betas are all around me. Alpha SF's are also present and I'm not in much shortage of Gamma SF's. The least abundant around me are NTs in general and deltas in general..

Well, answers confirm we mostly get along with people who share our values. Our subtype pushes us to a compatible quadra: for instance, ILEs gravitate towards beta and ILEs gravitate towards delta.

Lol. That's why I live in California and my parents live in New York. My older SEE sister used to torture me until I went into blinding rages when I was a child, but we got along great once I was a teen. Though we've never connected on a very "deep" level.

My IEE S.O. and I get along wonderfully. We just have a very comfortable relationship. She keeps me grounded in the real world and keeps me focused on day-to-day necessities (paying bills, work-stuff, savings, etc. - interesting that this is a function that she's developed since we've been together) and as a graphic designer she's great at creating a comfortable visual environment (interior decorating, helping me with my wardrobe, etc.). I tend to provide the fun and laughter, and generate interesting ideas and connections. I'm really good at coming up with ideas for her design projects - I just could never carry them out.

My INTj friend and I have this very deep, almost spiritual, bond. We can talk about anything and we share a pessimism, yet, ultimate hope, love and idealism for Earth and mankind. He's an activist/questor type. The difference between us is that he actually has the initiative to turn his goals into realities, where I am more inert. I'd rather use my ideas to motivate others to take action, since I feel personally incapable of adequately seeing things to completion.

Two mirrors working together make a powerful team IMO, specially if there is good relationshp between them.

    OK.

Hmm, guess these days it's pretty much an even sampling from each quadra, for me.
