    Default Types and Animals

So I had this discussion with my mother yesterday about what wild animals our relatives could turn into if they had the power. Sort of like some characters in the Harry Potter universe. So here are my questions for everyone:

Do you think there is an animal or animals that could be associated with each Socionics type? If so, do you have any particular ideas for certain types?

If you had the power to transform into a certain animal that was reflective of your personality type, what animal would it be?

Here are some type animal ideas that are not official in my mind, but to stimulate conversation/ideas:

    ILE (ENTp) - Raccoon
    LII (INTj) - Owl
    ESE (ESFj) - Dolphin
    SEI (ISFp) - Possum
    SLE (ESTp) - Bear
    LSI (ISTj) - Hawk
    EIE (ENFj) - Monkey
    IEI (INFp) - Salmon
    SEE (ESFp) - Wolf
    ESI (ISFj) - Rat
    LIE (ENTj) - Leopard
    ILI (INTp) - Iguana
    IEE (ENFp) - Frog
    EII (INFj) - Horse
    LSE (ESTj) - Spider
    SLI (ISTp) - Bumblebee

My mother actually thought I am reflective of an owl because of not only their intelligence, but their nature suggests somebody that is highly analytical.

    Why?
I see ISTps as being individualists so bumblebees, being lone bees, fly around, tasting things, going about their business at their own, deliberate pace. It's not an official type.

I don't necessarily disapprove the idea, I just wanted to know your reasoning behind it.

This thread gave a really good idea although other animals are sulking. I think there is over a million of them but they don't exist so it is fine.

No !!!! I'm not an Orangutan !!! I agree with Alpha and the rest of Delta, though. EII are more of a horse though cause they are timid
SEE is a frog. Most of them I know look like frogs. ILI lama? How come? They are something small. LSI are some predator.

But horses aren't timid? They're big scary animals used in wars and/or to sit on. Shouldn't EIIs be more cute and small and comfort-seeking? Like mice? Or shrews?

I think I know one that looks like a frog too!

I was thinking about the llamas from The Adventures of Tintin; they're intellectually superior and very critical and can spit on people but are still kind of cute!

Yeah, but some of them are really sweet too! I picked bulldog because my LSI dad looks maybe a little like some small dog, angry face but Fe turns him into a puppy. But hmm.. what about a raven? Or a wolverine?

Ok, orangutan are so orangutanish... Although I must admit I used to have my favourite orangutan toy for something like 15 years or even more and I slept with it for a long time until my husky dog destroyed it. I suppose he wanted me to sleep with him instead .
This one looks... I don't know if that's delta hippie or maybe beta bohemian - style -noooo? Or maybe alpha reggae?
    http://www.varbak.com/fotografia/zdj...gutan-kapelusz

My friend says I remind her of this:
    http://kopernica.pl/sarenka.html
cause I'm scared etc. On second thoughts my Ne ENFp girlfriend reminds me of some bear... koala maybe. She might be an orangutan but a small and sweet only.

To me horses are timid and they are also very proud and lovely. People use them for wars and eat them (!!!) cause people are stupid.

Ok, this cartoon llama might work. Cause my ILI dad is rather... hmmmm some idividualistic animal. IDK if this one works?

Raven totally works. My LSI Ti aunt (I like her a lot) reminds me of one, the black hair etc.

Aww.. :< I had a raccoon toy like that when I was little, and I refused to go anywhere without it so I figured It'd have to be my dual animal. But after googling raccoons they look so ILE I can't convince myself otherwise anymore.

enough already with animal thread guys, some of you really stink at this.

    Though, pistolshrimp was onto something.

    Some I could see are:

    ILE - fox/coyote
    SEI - koala
LII - owl is good, or crow
    ESE - kangaroo

    SLE - bear, yup
    IEI - chameleon
    EIE - peacock

    SEE - dog
    ILI - Peregrine falcon

    LSE - beaver? gorilla?
    IEE - hummingbird

case in point, esi: rat, gorilla, mouse, weasel??
i think most of the esi's i know, myself included seem like ducks or swans.

    LII: bat??
and SEIs are way more like cats than EIIs

Heey, don't take it so seriously.

I guess the choices depend a lot on whether you focus on the "personality"/behaviour or looks of an animal (or both) or personal experiences with them or cultural connotations or whatever. E.g why I chose the weasel for ESI was because they are active and agile/physically skilfulled predators (Se + aggressors), but still small and timid (introversion, Fi) and I know a few ESIs that have a weasel-like sharp gaze. Plus they're cute! And there was an animal cartoon in my childhood where they had a weasel that could well have been ESI.

The cats that I've met so far haven't been very Fe either..

Sable may sound better, but then people make coats out of them >.< I think cats are Fi or IJ at least, too independent-minded to be anything else.
