Default what is the use of each type?

I thought about posting this in each quadra, but it might fare better in general where people of different quadras may be more likely to respond.

This is after me seeing the value of INFjs in more than personal relationships. They may look for things that will aid utility in a practical way. I had previously restricted my views of Fi dominants to personal relationships only.

the fork part i could manage. i just have a bitch of a time with pickle jars. the day i learned that you could smack the lip of the jar on the side of a counter to release the pressure, my life became much easier. but even that doesn't work all the time. ):

ISTjs get things done! They are great and they know how to construct totally new things! (it's in beta forum. '"ISTjs and creativity" or something like that).

I don't know why anyone really needs ENFjs tho. I guess I plan everything and this forces other people to have even a minimal plan, so eventually everyone accomplishes more. "Hey, I need to know if you're doing experiments 3 weeks from now, so I can plan when I'll do my experiments!" And other people are like, "Hadn't really thought... Let me check. Ah, yes, that's the only time for me, ok, I'll write it down." and I'm like, "oh, cool, then I know when to do mine.".

So, finally. The forum's communist has been revealed. Ms. KENSINGTON.

I feel like society can suck my dick. I'll do what I please.

I think I'm here to be at the helm of society. I'm here to take control, tyrant of Athens style.

Hmm.. my father's an ENFj and I think one of his skills is that.. not too sure how to put this, but it's almost like he's capable of rallying people for a cause, as it were. I'm not sure if I'm really explaining it right, but I think ENFjs (potentially) make good leaders; at least when it comes to bringing popular opinion in favour of whatever it is they're leading. Sort of. Do you see what I'm getting at here?

EDIT: Perhaps "being a good motivator" would also apply to what I'm trying to say here. Bear in mind though this is somewhat of a superficial observation - I'm not sure how this pans out over the long term.

The image that I have gotten from ENFJ's:

They truly care, listen and solve personal problems of people.

    They defend the "weak" people.

They welcome you in the most friendly way possible.

They scare the shit out of dominant ESTJ's.

    etc :-)

Sorry, I couldn't resist responding to this.

This is how I open a jar of pickles:

You can release some of the pressure in the jar if you hit the bottom of the jar with the base of your palm (the boney part of the wrist on the pinky side) If you turn the jar upside down and hit the center of the bottom of the jar, you'll hear and feel a "thud" sound which will (at least in my experience) make the jar a little easier to open.

Maybe I'll make a video of it the next time I get a jar of pickles to fully demonstrate it.

Ok, I'm done derailing the thread. Carry on.

Female ESFjs can be pretty good at that, too.

    I look forward to watching.

Personally, I use one of those rubber grippy things. If that fails (which it usually doesn't), I go in search of a male relative or guy friend or my ESFj. If nobody's around, I just glare at the jar and go without pickles.

The really hard jars to open are baby food. I've never figured out the reason for that...
Oh, to find you in dreams - mixing prior, analog, and never-beens... facts slip and turn and change with little lucidity. except the strong, permeating reality of emotion.

when i open jars i usually tap around the entire rim of the cap with the blunt end of a butterknife. it's like slamming it down. i think this allows more air to creep into the jar though, and may give your pickles or jams a shorter shelf-life so choose wisely.

Not only are ESEs good for opening pickle jars and handing you a fork to get the pickle out, they will also get you a plate for your pickle and as soon as you're done eating it, take your plate and put it in the dishwasher (having already put the pickle jar in the refrigerator while you were eating the pickle so that if you decide you want another one, you have to get it out again).

I know all of this through personal experience.

Once, an old woman came out of a house I was walking past, and gave me a pickle jar to open. I don't think she even said anything to me. It was the only time I have opened a pickle jar, so I have a 100% success rate. This wasn't a dream, and I'm not a ESFj, so there.

How about considering the "use" of dual pairs?

Each type plays a part in the duality, and the "dual couple" sort of has a direction it is moving towards. It might add another layer of insight into the "use of each type".

Because I don't want to answer the thread's main question, I want to sorta' hijack its thunder and ask:

If a certain type didn't exist in society, what do you think would be missing from society? (Besides some other type never getting to meet their prince(ss) charming?)

That type would have to be reborn somehow, only then would there be balance restored to The Force*. It would make an interesting movie/series.

    *or, "The Socion" ?
