If I remember your picture correctly (holding the camera, in front of the mirror), then no. Some type with strong Si, probably more Te-Fi than Fe-Ti. I could make pictures all day, but I'd still wouldn't get that look in my eyes. If I have the same look, it means I'm very angry at someone, but it looked like a regular serious look in your case. Usually such big differences indicate different quadras. According to your body language and facial expression and how different that looked from me, I'd say you could be ISTp.

Oh, and you look a bit like one ISTp I know from school.

Oh sorry! I don't stick to any one forum, I view them all and I didn't know this was under "Beta". I thought you meant "this forum in general"

And yeah I'm still very much an istp. I'd say you belong here =]

I always think I'm looking so happy and carefree in my pictures. I guess not, lol. I've always been told I look too serious even when i have no intention. Ah well. Just looking for some more insights. How can't one know their own personality? argh

Easy: you try to confine it to a rigid system of traits that doesn't encompass your whole range of behavior.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

    Hey Jessica

You reminded me a lot of FDG in the pics I have seen of you (more than you both being yellow). Only seen those in passing tho. Similar bodylanguage and gaze. I dunno if you are beta but maybe you are FDG's type. Just a thought. I think there was a bit of confusion if FDG was beta ST too.

    Yes.

As I already mentioned, I think ILI is a possibility, if not that, SLI. I really don't see much of a case for LSI. I see her having huge problems and dislike for and longing for . She does sometimes show some LSI-like "stubborness" but I don't think it's evidence enough against the rest.

    Yellow? =D

(by the way, I definitely have some things in common with Jessica, but also many differences; I don't feel like we're the same type (I'm pretty certain of being more extraverted than her, for one))

Yup the pics had a yellowish tint And yes I do agree you are more extraverted than Jessica. You both were very intense in your pics, and it was mostly this intensity I reacted to.

lol, i've tried to adjust my camera to fix that orangeness, doesnt work. I'm not orange in real life, i swear ; ) I guess I just don't notice this "intenseness" people are speaking of. I alwayssssss get told this and it irritates me as I think I scare people.

It's really fun to see you and Gilly have your little dialogues in the forum. There's something to it. Maybe Si-Ne? But anyway, I definitely think you are probably some Si-Ne type. But I definitely wouldn't think you're alpha SF. How about ENTp?! Have you ever considered that? Because VI could work!

I've thought briefly about all the types, but I almost automatically disqualify all E's. Maybe that's not the right approach..is that the mbti thing to do? haha...I don't know, I just can't see myself being an "E" of any sort.

Other than people you don't know well, right? Yeah, me. It's called "social anxiety."

Although, I wouldn't exactly call myself "shy," even when I am anxious.

I don't think i would say I have social anxiety...it's just a general uncomfortableness around most people.

Er, well, i guess that IS social anxiety. Who knows. But when I think of SLE, social anxiety is the furthest thing from my mind.

wow, you suffer from social anxiety? It totally doesn't sound like it given what you've said in that huge argument with Diana on Niffweed's consensus list... good for you that you haven't let it get in the way of your life

Jessica, I think you're thinking too much in terms of MBTT.

I'm not shy, but I like my own space. A lot. Sometimes I can seem far away in social situations, because the people around me simply have either no or an adverse effect on me.

Where can i find a straight-forward, no nonsense description of the differences between introversion and extroversion in socionics...in plain english? Something that gives detailed examples and doesn't contain those damn shapes or speak of POLR-superego-second function-conflicting relations blah blah blah nonsense? I refuse to sift thru that garbage, it means nothing to me.

Isn't that very typical of I's? What makes you see yourself as an E?

I liked that link too. I have been thinking about what the theoretical differences between MBTI and socionics were when it comes to I and E. One thing I agree with MBTI is that introversion and extraversion are very strong parts of our character setup. (At least it is for me since I am a very strong I). Since Jessica is an introvert, and I think everything points to that, it is a good start

I think where Socionics is definitely an improvement over MBTI is that Model-A makes it slightly more explicit that we have both introverted and extraverted functions and that there is sucha thing as an "introverted extravert" (SLEs can sometimes come off as rather introverted sometimes, especially when wrapped up in Ti), and an "extraverted introvert" (a .lot of IEIs are easy to confuse with their mirrors or illusionaries sometimes as they can be quite extraverted)
"How could we forget those ancient myths that stand at the beginning of all races, the myths about dragons that at the last moment are transformed into princesses? Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

I might do that when I get home. But I think i've posted more than enough pictures..and i did post 2 videos before. People are still confused, no conclusions were drawn. I don't know, i think it's a bit pointless as people are all across the board when it comes to my type; how i am online is NOT how i am in real life, I don't think people grasp that concept.
