    Default "Huh?"

I rarely use this word, can't think of the last time I used it.

To me, this signifies not only misunderstanding but unwillingness to understand. I know that's not necessarily right but that is how it comes off to me.

do you use/do you hate this word?

I use it very rarely, usually when i'm being a prick to someone. "Huh, wtf are you talking about?!?" *said in asshole-ish tone. I don't think it ever registers any certain way to me though? So I can't say I hate it or not.

I use it, but it does not by ANY means mean an unwillingness to understand. If that were the case, I wouldn't say anything at all and would just change the subject. By even using it, I'm expressing interest, but either I didn't hear what was said, or it went by either way too fast or wasn't made clear enough. And in rare cases I use it if I think what was said seemed absurd, but even that can come from misunderstanding on my part, so it's best just to assume I mean well.

Actually, now that I think about it... that's down about 80% since Tcaud is gone.

I say it all the time. I never knew some people would take it as being offensive....? Why? I say it very casually if I don't understand someone. Now I guess I'll be more conscious of it..

Hmmm, actually I'm realizing I probobly say it to nearly everyone on a daily basis but it's more in the teasing "w-t-f are you talking about, ha-ha-ha" tone..it's never meant to offend. I think sometimes I probobly come across overly blunt without realizing it, I'm just oblivious to noticing these things.

Me too. Certain people must think I'm a total bastard then.

total bastard is a far cry from possibly misconstrued. i dont think anyone here said they take it that way

anyway what prompted this was some troubles i'm having with an isfj who i'm having difficulties communicating with.. wondering about how Te/Fi people use this and other quadras for good measure.

who is the subject of that sentence btw.. i dont want it to be the ISFj so i'll say whom, though i originally had it as who.

this kind of reminds me of when i say

"What?" somehow this doesn't bother me and i say this much more. But it bothered my ENTj dad tons while i was growing up. like you shouldn't depersonalize or something.
