Why is it a big deal that I'm happy most of the time?
Why do my fellow coffee shop workers get antsy when I sing and loligag?
What's wrong with wanting to make the most out of each moment?
Why doesn't everyone just want to be happy?
:/ Fuck 'em.

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Eh, they don't want to be moody and apathetic, but I think my energy just tends to be a little too over-the-top for them. And a little bit disruptive in a "chilled out hipster" environment. *vomit* I need a stage. Or a giant play-pen. Or something. I want to do what David Byrne does.
Pretty much.Nothing. Unless you're in a coffee shop, where ime it is either:
-full of rushed business people
-full of hipsters
-full of laptops
Yeah, and I can totally sympathize because I've been there, but meh...I wish people wouldn't take themselves so goddamn seriously. They do, but I think they'd rather pretend they're not.
BECAUSE THE WORLD REJECTS ME
Actually I just felt like I needed to vent. I may very well be leaving the coffeeshop (for a used book store where I will have to be almost completely silent...why can't I just find a band already? ), but for now I'm going down to 20 hours/week there.
Love the Bruce Lee quote, btw.

I have a solution for you: Try waiting tables.
Hear me out - either the customers will make you so miserable that you'll no longer have to fret over others being overwhelmed by your happiness (because it will have dissipated), or your happy energy will come through and you’ll earn good tips. Either way, you win (although I personally would aim for the latter scenario).
