This is a great time to celebrate concretized sentiment now that we're taking a break from barking about Fe, Fi, and Si polr.

Here's for the crawling slaves suffering gratefully under kassie's lash:

ESI is the strangest type of the socion imo. Is it because they are my quasi or is it because they really are strange? I don't know. But there's somethig about them, they are like ALIENS!!

As I said: Maybe it's because they show me my ID, or maybe something else, I don't know. They just seem like coming from another dimension. Have you read quasi-identity descriptions?

Oh I see, I do think I did hear of Social Distortion before, and prior to this thread, and they do not sound like Green Day. Thanks, korpsey. ESI people are okay, though. I'm going to risk like you and say the sane ones.

What is the communication like to you? I do not think Quasi understand each other all that well... (unless I'm much more ILI instead)

I'm frequently told that I'm 'too serious' when I'm just being myself.
Says I look mad sometimes when I'm happy and content... wtf.
if I think too hard or long about something, she assumes I'm depressed.
She doesn't care about how stuff works and finds it annoying if I try and 'explain' anything.
Seems to believe my social skills are poor because I don't like using them, rather than that I might find it uncomfortable to change my emotional states somewhat spontaneously.
Believes my desire for secrecy of thought is just paranoia (it is not that simple).

Strangely, she is really nice to me and I find her comfortable to be around and I am naturally nice to her. We like each other and get along really well when doing something we both enjoy, but we don't seem to understand one another.
    good bye

It's like the descriptions say: Similar interests but they express everything in a language that is foreign for each other. I've also been thinking about how strange it is to have someone demonstrate my base function and vice versa. Where Si for me is conscious, always possible to re-evaluate, dwell on, create something new, no standards apply, then Si for them is like "here I'll provide it for you and nothing to discuss, period"

I've also noticed that suggestive Te in ESI makes me use Te polr to correct them, I notice their mistakes. Which makes me irritated and stressed, or at least very self-conscious. Before I knew socionics it might have made me feel that I am good at my PoLR.

something about Si was written here but this post now serves as a placeholder for a new epiphany.

fwiw, even I find my duals 'strange' and on the unpredictable side (at least in the short-term—the long-term tendencies aren't an issue).

I think I meant something very vague and subjective. It's probably due to the quasi combination. I don't really know how to put it into words, a vague impression that they are much more foreign to me than I first might feel. I really don't know.

do you mean physically create something? And ESIs put not thought behind actually providing Si? I'm a lil confused.

They do put a lot of thought into it, but it's not something that they enjoy discussing about if someone has a different opinion on how to go about it (imho).

I like a lot of things about ESI; I like that they make good parents who have strong values and demand that of their kids, creating a traditional, yet very tight knit families; I like that they are fun and participate in many things, from sports to fashion; I like that my ESI friend is honest about herself; she's not the neatest, most organized person around, but when I needed a place to stay a few years ago, she was "sure, come stay at my place, but you'll have to sleep on the couch because my bedroom is too messy; I'm studying all the time so I don't have time to clean up." Good friends.
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

<.< hmm I have been considering ESI as a type because I'm yielding, carefree, democratic and a damn negativist...but wtf is this crap about tradition and closed mindedness? also Si stuff? Fuck Si! Who cares about comfort and girly shit. Maybe to some degree but some of this sounds like going overboard... especially the taking care of other people...sounds like a pain in the ass if you ask me.
