Watching a movie or listening to music, spooning my current lover.
Reading and learning.
You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek.
But first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril.
You shall see things, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... cow... on the roof of a cotton house. And, oh, so many startlements.
I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the ob-stacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward.
Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation.

Generally passive. I don't consider the items listed under active as rest. I don't feel rejuvenated by hiking, sport or shopping, I usually feel spent (assuming I've used a lot of energy during).
I actually don't associate "rest" with reading, or watching films haha. These are "activities" to me (but ones I really enjoy.)
basically "rest" is sleep or lying down or sitting in one place staring off (all of which I do in ample quantities too)
i think rest means how you recharge your psyche or soul after working you know not like literally calming down but something that takes your mind off other things it may drain your body to hike and play sports but if it relaxes your mind and takes it off stressful things like work taxes you name some its "rest" for me video games and sports or active definitely
I love nature and being outdoors, anything fresh with lots of vegetation calms me down. I'm usually dispirited by just staying inside and watching tv or lying in bed doing nothing. If it's leisure time, I like to explore hectic urban areas, go shopping, or travel around.
doing activities where I get into the 'zone' (like reading sth. that is very engaging to me, listening to music and doing random stuff on the internet). walking around outdoors for hours and not watching my time (spring to autumn) - preferably in the woods (sometimes photographing, biking there), having a chat with my best friend. I search for stuff to relax and energize me at the same time.
