i know others dress more professional than me or more together or more casual or more whatever. it's really too hard because my first and main inclination is about the individual dressing in a way that's THEM. how can an orange be better than an apple, they are just different and uniquely them.
could you mean more visually appealing? i could answer that. well, maybe if i had a lot better "vision" of what each type looked like irl. i'll guess ESFj or ESFp.
I'm thinking of specific individuals I know.
INFp (two females but I know several other IEI females and males who don't dress very well)
ESFp (three females)
ISFj (one male, one female)
ESFj (two females)
that's all I can think of right now.

Many IEI's I've known dress very....odd.
I dress very odd.
Most of the time.

I dress more to make a statement than for comfort.
o.o I mean, both are important, but if I had to choose one....

I like how you take everything too far.

i'm not a good dresser. i have brilliant ideas, but my ideas and my body don't go together very often. more often its my wallet that isn't going along with my idea.....
i'm not a horrible dresser either. i used to dress very outlandish...and i have many different articles of clothing from different stages of style. it all depends on mood and how much i think i can pull something off and where.
when im at home alone, among family or close friends/boyfriend maybe....i dress however the hell i feel like it at the time, which can include any strange impulsive mix-match of random shit i have.

i agree. even from a very young age, they know exactly how to put together an outfit.
alpha and beta i think are pretty fashion conscious. i wonder if it's related more to Fe.
i'd have to say that i'm pretty fashion conscious, but i've had to work at it. it didn't come naturally. but a lot of people always say they like the way i dress.

That being said if you really want to be seen as well dressed you might have hit the gym and go to see a tailor. Color that really pops and relates to the person is also vital and shows a good knowledge of self and style.
Ive noticed people of all types that dress well. I know of two ISTPs that dress very neat but with great restraint reminiscent of Steve McQueen. Then I know of an ESTP (with a great phyique) thats stylish and very current. He makes me want to go out and by the latest, what ever it is. I know of and ESTP female who is also very fashionable but so easy about it. She never looks like she is that concerned but she always looks great. I know of an INFP female that looks very nonchalant and cute with mixed patterns and relaxed clothing. I know of a dramatic ENFJ who is tall and elegant and she wears bold clothing that looks theatrical.

if it's ISTp, then I defy my type.
I take from the left of the closet, and put back to the right. I could dress in the dark, I take so little time to make fashion decisions.
Once a month (on their 1/2 off day), I'll spend about an hour at the nearby Goodwill to see if I can find natural-fiber clothing that fits me comfortably. If I can find it, I buy it, take it home and look at all the clothes I have in that category (work, exercise, lounge) and decide if I need to get rid of an article or two.
I also subscribe to the "wear it till it stinks" school of laundry. I have more work shirts than play shirts because once they stink (or get stained), they simply go back to goodwill, thus I allow a buildup of them (especially at only $1-2 per shirt). I will not even own an iron !
All told, I spend very little time or money on my clothing. I'd say about $120 a year including seasonal but not including shoes. Oh, and I find it important to clarify that shoes and underwear I do buy brand new.

Which type is the “best” dresser depends on your taste. In my experience, every type has its own preference. I'm an ENTJ and for most of my life I was OK with looking like I had just been rolled under a moving truck, but that changed when I discovered personality typing and understood my flaws, and how others perceived me. But just because a person can't dress themselves doesn't mean that they can't see how others dress. From my limited experience, and in my own opinion, the following types dress in the following way:
ENTP - ILE – Clothes do not seem to be a priority with them. They cover the body, but that's about it.
ISFJ - SEI – The females dress in bright colors, but look somehow less interesting than the IEI's or ESI's, and don't achieve the level of durable good taste of SLI's.
ESFJ - ESE – no data.
INTP - LII – They look like they were dressed by standing too close to an explosion in a clothing factory.
ENFJ - EIE – They dress to impress you, but don't seem to do it well.
ISTP - LSI – Again, clothes don't seem to be a priority to them, but the fact that I don't notice what they wear probably reflects the fact that I find the females immediately attractive based on their faces and how they move, and their clothes are just a temporary phenomenon.
ESTP - SLE – They seem to dress randomly. Can look like they dress themselves off the rack in a used clothing store, or can look terrific in designer clothes. I haven't figured this out yet.
INFJ - IEI – They dress very tastefully, females usually in light colors, males in unusual but tasteful color combinations, always look clean, neat, original, and generally have a very appealing look to them.
ENTJ - LIE – The younger ones are clueless about how they look, and the older ones can look terrific if someone else dresses them. They generally go for something with flair.
ISFP - ESI – Females have their own distinctive styles, which can be bright colors or just well-cut darker clothes, but I find they always look great in a way that says they put some thought into achieving their look. You can take them anywhere. But then, they're my duals, so what would you expect me to think?
INTJ - ILI – see ILE and LII.
ESFP - SEE – too little personal experience to comment. The one male I know dresses OK, but not impressively. Dark clothes, slim fit, built to move.
ENFP - IEE – They dress well enough, but they are not stand-outs. Mostly, it seems they dress as well as they can afford. Females seem to be both colorful and practical in their clothing, but mostly practical. But again, because they are my Benefactors, I mostly see the person and not the clothes.
ISTJ - SLI – They dress very conservatively, never anything flashy, always look good when they are out but wear old clothes around the house, their clothes may be older and classic but are always clean and in good taste. They throw out stuff that is not repairable or that no longer fits them.
ESTJ - LSE – These guys dress like real estate salesmen. Blue blazer, giant mechanical watch, white or pale blue shirt, gray slacks, tuck in your shirt and wear a belt that matches your brown shoes, and don't do anything that could be criticized by traditionalists. If they want to show that they can go wild and crazy, they wear a pocket handkerchief. Actually, these guys generally have pretty good taste in a conventional sense. Before my sister married her LSE husband, she thought either his mother or his ex-wife dressed him, but it was him. Turns out he reads men's fashion magazines.
INFP – EII – I have typed only one female, and she looked like she was dressing to nest at home.
When I look at these opinions, it is clear to me that they reflect my biases toward the personality types, but that is usually what happens when someone is asked their opinion. I really don't think there is an absolute standard for “best”. Here is an example.
In the move “Skyfall”, the ESTP James Bond character is dressed by the costume designers to appeal to the ESTJ audience that loves these movies. He wears beautiful, well-cut clothes that are conservatively tailored. The ENTJ villain, who is always one step ahead of Mr. Bond (in real life, too – the middle-manager ESTJ's in the audience recognize this guy, usually as their CEO) is also dressed very well, but has a slightly extravagant twist to his clothes. He is too much of a peacock, and is therefore suspect. This is hammered home in the scene where they first meet, in case anyone in the audience is a bit slow about the archetypes here.
So, which one was the “best” dresser? It depends on what you're trying to convey to your audience.
In my own case, I also like to dress with some flair. There aren't many of us ENTJ's, so I might as well dress like it. My method for doing this, when I decided to do it, was to go to the gym and lose 30 pounds (because the best way to look good in any style of clothes is to be thin), then go to the best clothing store in town, find a salesman who looked like he had both good taste and had some style (an IEI), and tell him, “Dress me”, because I sure as heck couldn't. He did, and now I get compliments, particularly from women, which is actually a tribute to the IEI's skill. I do look a little bit like that villain in Skyfall, but I'm OK with that. Truth in advertising.
