but i find it sad to see how something like severe feelings of rejection/misanthropy can veer so quickly in that directly with mental conditions that actually stunt things like empathy, although I'm sure that contributed to rejection to begin with. i'm sure also that it's far easier for me to sympathize for him from far away than up close; always a weird dilemma.

he's on the cuter side going by looks, but that was completely outweighed by his psychological problems and his repulsive personality
most likely he's had a full-blown narcissistic personalty disorder, as per the 3rd video he slips into delusions about being a god and tells his friend about dominating the world (NPD'er delusions of grandeur)
what's interesting is that several of the people who knew him expected that he would act out at some point ... they described him as awkward, standoffish, with anti-social tendencies, consumed by envy of other people's success - type-wise he sounds like an unhealthy 3w4, possibly LII since he was reported to be not mindful of the social pleasantries so Fe leading typing is a stretch

But you do realize when you put it like this, it sounds like you are talking about his personality being linked to that of Hit-ler's? I doubt that wanting to have concentration camps is really a sign of personality, not to even speak of not being type related.

This is why prostitution should be legalized so people like Elliot Rodger and George Sodini don't go on shooting sprees due to sexual frustration IMO. As for his type, I would have to look into him more before deciding.
Hard to say, that might of been the last straw for him on top of other reasons. As for his psychological disorders, I am seeing a lot of different diagnoses in this thread so who knows what he really had.

Yeah i agree it w/e thoyeah. well, i was just reading up on him and i realized he's not even a very interesting school shooter. he was narcissistic and wanted attention and i guess since we're giving it to him now, he won.
Well, I wasn't implying that his behavior and thought process was justified because it certainly isn't. I just think it's one of many reasons to legalize prostitution as a preventative measure.

How about teaching boys that *access to pussy* is no right and that women are not there for their sexual gratification? That sounds like a much better preventative measure than giving them unrestricted access to women they can view as nothing more than sex objects.
Edited to add: I do think prostitution should be legal, but for the benefit of the prostitutes, not the johns.

I find it difficult to begin to judge someone who was 'probably' mental ill or think about the extent to which his actions were affected...I'd rather that things like misogyny be tackled on a society-wide level rather than potentially demonize someone who may have been mental ill, which would be another malaise that society has been guilty of. ...he's dead now...maybe if he had been assessed by a court I'd feel more comfortable providing armchair analysis.

How did this thread get turned into a cry-out against misogyny when 4 out of 6 people he has killed in his shooting spree were male? Elliot has very explicitly professed his hate for the guys at his school in one of his recordings. Turning this into a 'women issue' completely misses the point and is rather dismissive of the lives of those four male college students who have died at his hands.
