Default Election day in 6 days!

    In the United States.

I have to say, the current crop of GOP candidates may well be the craziest it has ever been. I'm not sure what will happen in these next few days, but I do know that the campaign for 2012 begins on Nov. 2. Obviously that campaign will inexorably be a matter of freedom, as the madly authoritarian American conservative fringe seeks to oppress through subversive means the Left that they despise. There are already signs of this, as one Republican has sought to exploit what she thinks to be a loophole allowing her to broadcast graphic pictures of aborted fetuses over Washington, D.C.'s primetime airwaves. (the broadcasting stations claim that because she is a registered candidate, even though it is plain that she does not have a chance of winning the election and, moreover, realizes this).

She'll be surprised when they put the handcuffs on her over it. Misrepresentation *is* generally against the law. Same for that Green guy in South Carolina... and his backer.

I hope not. His would-be replacement would probably go nuts trying to eliminate funding for the sciences. Tea party people are insane.

Have you seen the latest pic of her on Politico?

No matter how you look at it, that is not the face of a good person.

Look at that avarice... she looks like a villain from a Disney film. And it's not a "bad shot", either: in every shot she looks like a mad dog.

Keep saying that and maybe it will come true.

The Tea Party is not a "party". It is a movement founded upon conservative arrogance and overconfidence, particularly on a personal level. Angle is pretty much, supersocionics-wise, the living embodiment of that overconfidence, which is why she is their leader and standard-bearer.

What's really going on in this country today, is you have one half of the country telling a smaller, but politically decisive fragment that is the very definition of self-reliance and independence (and by extension, overconfidence) that they CAN'T overcome anything. This makes that fragment very upset, because they hate being told what they can and cannot do (whether there is a theory behind it or not), and with a significant number of that lecturing half actually sitting home on election day (due to recalcitrance), that angry minority has an opportunity to take out their rage, and the people who may or may not wholly disagree with that rage, but nonetheless see it as the means to a nice title which would make them feel really good about themselves, are going to try to foment it any way they can.

One of the consequences of this tide is that Obama will be invincible, because by 2012 the rage, having been given an opportunity to vent, will be gone, and besides that the current GOP is so far right that none of its presidential candidates can be taken seriously by anybody on the Left. Left voters may not understand the importance of holding both the legislative and executive branches of government, but Iraq has taught them well the power of the presidency, and the personal importance of checking its power.

They gave me a brochure supporting Bill Parson. He did not win the primaries.

Reed may not be bad for you, but he's bad for the state he's supposed to represent, and I'll enjoy having him thrown facefirst into a gutter.

Anyway lol @ above picture. Also, if you type the advertising campaigns set forth by the party, you're going to have to re-type them per advert and per advert policy every new election. They're all so different.

Well first check out the Wikipedia articles for your Reps, Senators, the governor. Generally, vote for the Dem unless he's blatantly corrupt. If the Republican is also corrupt, just stay home. None of the independents are worth it, except for maybe Lincoln Chafee.

Oh, and don't vote for eMegs.

Pitiful that that Rubio bastard is gonna win in Florida.

Actually, I think things will be alright. The Dems are not going to lose so many seats that the conservatives manage to override even a single veto. Besides, it gives a new generation an opportunity for a voice and with that, new hope for social change. We've fought for health care so long, by the time it was finished we didn't even have a plan for what came next. Cap-n-trade is probably unworkable (opinions on this?), and besides that I don't really see anything on the agenda. The Republicans will be asses and by the time 2012 rolls around, they'll be in prime position for another thumping. In the meantime, we need to reassess our priorities and figure out what we stand for in a world that economic woes aside, we have done much to improve.

But do go out and vote, because goodness knows if people stay home, the conservatives will win hugely and with that, the opportunity to roll us back to 1900.

What I'm really concerned about, is that a lot of the Tea Partiers are die-hard Freudians. Meaning, it could come back to haunt efforts to like, get socionics practicioners into unemployment offices down the road. And it's very likely that we will be witness to historic spectacles next year, once these people who really have no sense of professionalism at all get into the Senate. ...Although, it does seem rather unlikely that they would be willing to make the effort to filibuster.

Abbie if that woman does win, it is very likely that she will be one of the most corrupt Senators ever to come from Nevada. Like, mafia corrupt. She has given every indication that she is a sociopath, and as much as you might not like it ethics and sanity really do matter.

What does it matter? Forcing the authority of elected officials upon those who did not vote for them is still unfair.

I'd vote democrat because it will most further my career. Publically funded research is a huge sector in chemistry. Whether is be NSF, DOD, DOE, or any number of organizations. China is already spending twice as much on R&D in public sector.

The fact of the matter is, the current administration and congress is the most LEFT-WING government this country has ever seen. $5 TRILLION dollars in new national debt, cap-and-tax schemes floating in the Senate, a complete take over of our healthcare system which most people don't even want, and just plain ridiculous amounts of overreach by the Federal government. The fact that you're calling GOP candidates "insane" just spells out pretty plainly where you stand politically, which is pretty far to the left. I don't think people calling for LIMITED government, and fiscal conservatism could really be considered "insane" or crazy, but whatever.

People so far to either the left or the right politically can't be taken seriously in their analysis of elections because they're simply not objective and only see things from one side.

Personally I can't wait to vote these asshat corrupt left-wing socialists out of office, and 2010 is just the beginning. $5 TRILLION in new national debt since the Dems took control of Congress and what do we have to show for it? Unemployment still at 9.9%

    No, 2010 is the end.

And if not... you'll probably die in a riot.
