There are several people on this forum who are very different from me in terms of quadra values and thinking patterns but they are not my conflictors in the strict sense of the word.

the way that people approach this type of thread is by listing people with whom they are most irked, or with whom they dislike most fervently. while i could do this, i can only think of one person on this board who i dislike and believe might possibly be my conflictor as a result of this dislike. currently, i am more inclined to think of that person as a different (but similar) type. the perceptive will easily discern the identity of this individual.


i compiled a tentative list of 23 individuals who i dislike intensely (including the individual above). many of the individuals on this list are predictable, though some of them may not be. of these 23, i currently type 17 of them as betas, 1 as gamma, 3 as alpha, and 2 as undecided. of these 23 individuals, i type none of them as my conflictor, and regard it as a possibility for perhaps 4 or 5 of them.

in addition, i came up with an auxiliary list of people with whom i have severe problems communicating but don't dislike as individuals. this list contains 5 people, distributed 3 alphas, 1 beta, 1 delta according to my typings. none of them are my conflictor, per my typings.

in conclusion, this is a poor test of conflictor-ness.

These people consistently rub me the wrong way, I can't seem to get through to, and/or have a distant world view. I don't necessarily dislike these people, but they all tend to piss me off.

You are projecting. The way you view "conflictors" and the world isn't the way conflictors (and the world) objectively actually is.

expat, as far as smooth communication goes. But this is hard to answer, cause there are people here I dislike/disdain/want to kill, yet I never 'duel' or w/e with him, just because. Whereas there are others (who know who they are) that I do value/find interesting, but whom I fight with more often. Maybe this says something, I don't know. I do often find myself responding to completely incompatible people with a sort of indifference; the fights occur when someone is compatible with you, but not enough to keep things smooth all the time.


*edit: yeah, I think there's something to this. If I like certain qualities in someone, it will only enhance my dislike for their other qualities (assuming the existence of both). So, I'll almost quarrel with them to regain a foothold on the compatibility derived from the interaction of our respective complimentary qualities, and extinguish the others. Weirdly polarizing like that. And with those whom I am not attracted to/compatible with at all, I don't even care enough to exert myself towards such a thing.

Nick brings up a really good point imo... I have never thought about this before but the people who I TRULY would not get along with IRL I barely pay any real attention to and do not exert myself into arguing with them. This indifference is definitely a part of my interactions with Delta quadra members most of the time because to be honest, it's like I don't have the patience and/or I just realize they have very opposing points of view that will never be truly reconciled with mine and thus, just accept what they have to say with a grain of salt.

On that note I would have to say those that I TRULY would probably conflict with IRL but I pay little real mind to on here are:

Actually, the only person I can really think of is Cyclops, though I've never actually argued with him or talked to him. Whenever I do read his posts I feel myself grimacing, and it's often hard to avoid that feeling. It's just the overall sense of bitterness and hostility that gets me.
