Default Your Career Personality Type Test

    Hi all,

As a college student, I've delved a lot into what kind of career route I should take. Career counselors often make you take these tests that give you your career personality type.

    http://www.sparkvictory.com/2008/06/...rs-that-match/

What I'd like people to do is read the descriptions, state your sociotype and which two career types you identify with most. I'll start.

    IEE, Investigative and Realistic.

Absurd: You Ti dominants sure say things I don't really know where to put.
    labtard: fml
    Absurd: Hah.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I love these kinds of tests.

EII and AIR, "The Architect." It's accurate because I've always imaginatively designed and engineered structures of things on paper since 1st grade. I've created a number of personality and psychological systems and invented mathematical equations for abstract ideas. Based on what I can deal with without much trouble I also relate to strictly conventional activities, AIC.

I would say Artistic, realistic and investigative fit me the best out of the six types in no particular order.

Investigative, artistic, conventional. Some combination of those.

The Holland quiz in that other thread gave me a high social score, but while I like being helpful, people do burn me out, especially in large doses.

    Conventional: 11
    Artistic: 9
    Investigative: 8
    Realistic: 7

    Enterprising: 5

not so high on social after all.

Results often depend on the specific questions and/or my mood and aspirations of the moment.
Today's score on the this test: http://www.roguecc.edu/Counseling/HollandCodes/test.asp
    Realistic:*2**lowest
    Investigative:*4
    Artistic:*5
    Social:*8**highest
    Enterprising:*2**lowest
    Conventional:*2**lowest

But if doing the Party Test, I'd choose to be around people who share and like to help others (Social),
Then people who like to Explore and are curious (Investigative), but I would want that to be tempered by realisticness and the intent/hope of Doing something practical with the ideas (Realistic), I'd also want to be around the people who are doing their own things, their own way (Artistic) rather than conventionally.

I admire and like to watch/listen to people who actually get things done, even better are the ones who can craft or create concrete things that can be used to help people in some way, or is creative but practical (such as a beautiful piece of furniture which intends for people to actually sit on and enjoy).

But the typical Enterprising and Conventional people I would avoid like the plague.

    Social: 12

    Conventional: 10
    Investigative: 9
    Realistic: 8

Some of the careers it lists for me, that I would actually like doing/have considered:

    Financial Aid Director
Elementary School Teacher (Actually, I would rather teach high school or college)
Counselor (Career more so than anything else)
    City Manager
    Human Resources Manager
    Employment Interviewer
    City Manager
