    Default Betas again!

    I started hanging out with this new group of people lately. I wasn't sure what types they were, but I had a rough guess. Turns out one of the guys is SLE and the other seems IEI. Their female roommate is definitely a type, but I'm not sure which one. The SLE's girlfriend is SEI. They also have this really chillax quiet kid with them and I thought he was LII, but I've never seen the violent side to him that I've heard a lot about until just recently--so I'm starting to think LSI.

    wtf? Where are all the alphas?

    Funny story about the SLE actually. He has a drum set, and this one guy at the party was on it and wouldn't get off when asked, so the SLE was about to fight him. He had his hand around the guy's neck, pinned against the wall. When the girl asked him wtf he was doing, he said "oh, we're just having a chat."

    Don't get me wrong, betas are a lot of fun, but I need alphas! Why can't I find any of them?

    I know how you feel, I'm surrounded by Deltas. Great to relax with and all, but not nearly silly enough to have any fun with...

    I have this theory that certain cultural atmospheres attract certain Quadras and repel others, resulting in a sorting effect, and little pockets dominated by one quadra or another in different areas.

    But it's just a theory.

    Are you saying that big parties thrown by aspiring rock bands are going to be full of betas? Stereotype madness!

    @oct
    You probably offended them with this post!

    He means more like a regional place. For instance, the area of the world that the two of us happen to live in seems like it is absolutely filled with Deltas. Whether or not that is the case has to be seen, because neither of us have typed all, or even most, of the people in the area. But it just seems very Delta, and a lot of the people I've typed are Delta.

    I have too many Alphas, we go out and eat food all the time but I'm always afraid I'll offend them inadvertently, or that they hate me but are too polite to tell me, can we swap?

    Most ESEs I know tend to hang out with deltas. At least that's the case with Malia and my roommate. Sorry, I tend to think deltas are a major snorefest most of the time. I prefer to work with deltas, not hang out and/or party with them. I admire the betas' passion, it just seems like they feel everything 10x stronger than I ever can. They just seem to drive the ESEs away.

    That sounds more like a strong sense of independence. Isn't a point of view how you see/perceive something? I, too, have to wonder how you can more strongly or weakly perceive a matter, event, etc. You just naturally have a point of view.

    Now, points of view can be more informed or less informed, I suppose, but I don't think that's what you're getting at judging by your definition of what you meant.

    Mostly deltas with a smattering of alpha. It was really boring though. Back in the early days of me in the military, I was mostly with beta. That got to be too much for me, and I kinda wanted to move on, so I moved to another group that was mostly delta with some alpha. It was the group my roommate (an ESE) happened to hang out with. Once I got out of the military about a year ago I hung out with that group less and found another delta/alpha group at the school I'm attending, but they're both kinda boring. Now that it's summer, they all went home and I reconnected with some people I vaguely knew from the military and they turned out to be betas, which I didn't expect--hence the creation of this thread.

    lol gammas are in there somewhere. They tend to come and go as they please. There is one really cool ILI I know really well, he's still in the military, and he kinda hangs out with the same people I do.

    Yeah, I remember having a decent friendship for many years with an ILI, even though there were some things that he did that used to make me cringe or I found a bit irritating. I haven't fully gone into it and analyzed it, but I'm sure Socionics can now help me understand what exactly went on.

    EDIT: At least, I think he might be an ILI.
