Default How Enneagram 279-135-468 triads act sociologically

    279 - Proactive Triad

    - Enthusiastic, cheerful
    - Friendly, easy to socialise with
    - Adapts to others, accomodate with the world to seek union
    - Doesn't seek conflicts
    - Allocentric, selfless : "solidarity is good, everyone should help others"
    - Seeks social contact, and may not handle loneliness easily
    - Usually looks "commercial", avoids to intimidate others ; persuades by manipulating others in a harmless way
    - Usually more filtered speech, tries to make it agreeable and the least offensive possible (or just playfully offensive), but speech may be distorted
    - Afraid of being excluded of groups, doesn't take risks to
    - Lower IQ, higher EQ
    - Seeks to be loved, but taking the risk to be taken for granted
    - Leadership styles range from laissez-faire to democratic - thinks union makes stronger
    - When dealing with boring people, will try to be as empathetic as possible, in order to please them or to have a clear conscience

    135 - Neutral Triad

    - Even-tempered, stable
    - Somewhat friendly, quite easy to socialise with
    - Balance between adaptation and inertia, works in the world in order to be part of it
    - Seek verbal conflicts, avoids to get physical, because they feel it sterile and useless
    - Balanced between allocentrism and egocentrism : "it's ok to help others, but I deserve my slice of the cake ; that's legitimate"
    - Average social skills : likes to socialise and to work with others, but accomodates with loneliness
    - Usually looks slightly commercial or slightly charismatic, and doesn't really do anything to appear more or less intimidating ; persuades others by giving them data
    - Usually slightly filtered speech, but with enough left content to remain straightforward and distortion-free content ; tries to fit social norms
    - Slightly craintive about being excluded of groups, but not really afraid of
    - Average IQ, average EQ
    - Seeks to be respected, but acknowledge empathy ; may act empathetic in return, as some kind of reward
    - Leadership styles range from democratic to authoritarian - seeks stability and efficiency
    - When dealing with boring people, give them the chance to interest them (by some extrinsic benefit), usually a few minutes

    468 - Reactive Triad

    - Moody, unstable
    - Hostile, hard to socialise with
    - Non-adaptive behaviour, seek conflict with the world in order to "educate" it
    - Seek physical conflicts, more prone to seek conflicts for conflicts themselves instead of their benefits
    - Egocentric, narcissistic : "everyone should help themselves first, because that's natural"
    - Low social skills : deliberately withdrawn
    - Usually looks charismatic, overtly intimidating ; persuades by intimidating or harming others (physically or emotionally)
    - Usually non-filtered, reckless speech, only avoids to say things that would lead to the highest penalties (if however responsible enough to do so), and willingly adding extra harmful content to their speech
    - Not afraid of being excluded of groups
    - Higher IQ, lower EQ
    - Seeks to be respected, empathy doesn't seem to mean anything
    - Leadership styles range from authoritarian to dictatorial - thinks that lack of control may lead to anarchy
    - When dealing with boring people, simply ignores them except if extrinsic benefit is very high

It's like society, as a whole, has three evolutory "components" : Action, Reaction, and Normalisation.

You can't help just dumb curiosity though. Maybe he didn't say something that stupid this time?

    But he did.

Your bias against the Reactive triad is laughable. I don't think you're a counterphobic Six reacting against the flaws of yourself, I just think you're someone with too much Ti up his ass for his own good.

    I never said that I was CP6. However, I hate CP6's.

Is this something you can prove? Do you have actual evidence or sufficient data that you can show me?

Friendly CP6's are quite unfrequent, it's difficult to avoid such misconceptions.

One exception was some priest whom I recently made a confession. He was LIE. He's not very "friendly", but at least, he wasn't harmful to me.

Another exception was a female math teacher I had. She was LIE. She was pretty mistrusting and passionate (like EIE's), but had some esteem for me because I was a quite good student.

Another exception would be my father, but I still hesitate between CP6 and 8, so I can't count him for now.

Besides, the "" meant that I was joking. Reactive types have an hard time to recognise jokes.

RECENT RESEARCH : Serotonin Levels and The origin of conformism

In any group, we can calculate the Social Component Ratios.

Let's call them SCR-, SCR0, and SCR+. They are rates of individuals

In the G group, there are 4 Reactives, 2 Neutrals, and 3 Proactives.

The SCR- is equal to 0.4
The SCR0 is equal to 0.2
The SCR+ is equal to 0.3

If one of these rates is too high, unhealthy conformism may emerge. Especially if concerned individuals are low-functioning.

If it's the SCR-, hostile conformism may emerge. Nobody will really make the group evolve, and will follow a blind social path, because of fear of being harmed. This is frequent in gangs, and probably in jail.

If it's the SCR0, cold conformism may emerge. Nobody will really make the group evolve, and will follow a blind social path, because of fear of being perceived as dumb.

If it's the SCR+, socialite conformism may emerge. Nobody will really make the group evolve, and will follow a blind social path, because of fear of being perceived as a spoilsport.

The only way to prevent social paralysis is : removing unhealthy elements. That may sound harsh, but permitting a group to be harmed may render the group unstable.

    EDIT:

For 279's, it won't appear that bad, because such group members are more easily deindividuated - and usually, the result isn't worse than retarded trends and bankruptcy-ridden stagnation.

For 468's, deindividuation is difficult to almost impossible, and people will fake accomodation (especially Sixes - despite common descriptions, they aren't adaptive more than superficially). Stress and heavy conflicts may emerge. For example, gangs illustrate this pretty well.

Which would mean you're typing from a bias. It'd probably be better to have some of that triad contribute, so we could get both sides. If you are not one of them, you probably don't understand their mental/emotional processes. That can lead to wrong conclusions.

Yes, but your definition of them is skewed. That's what I'm addressing.

But between two healthy people of two different types there will likely be one which is more hostile than the other.

Even when healthy, 468's are still less friendly than Twos, right ?

Bold, loud, confident, independent, etc... yes. Hostile, no.

Being "less friendly" is not the same as being hostile.

There is a difference between being more cool and being more hostile.

Yes, it is, Joy. Somebody which is more hostile is less friendly, and somebody which is less hostile is more friendly, and somebody which is less friendly must be more hostile, otherwise, what? Bold+loud = hostile, in every possible way, and there is no way I can be wrong about this, sorry.

They may not mean to be hostile. They're not maliciously coming at you.
Believe me, I have a choir teacher who seems to be both. He can be offensive and intimidating, but he's a nice guy, and he's not trying to be malicious. I mean, I dislike loud people, and he doesn't offend me (just shocks me, mostly).

I don't think hostility necessarily means that a person is trying to get at you, being aggressive on purpose. Somebody which is naturally loud and crude is hostile, no matter what his intentions are. Of course, then I will not react badly to somebody which is not being hostile on purpose, but I think this is besides the point I was making.

Then given the connotation of "hostile", I think a different term ought to be used.
