    Default Juno (movie)

I think its gamma or delta. Fi>Fe and I think the plot is Se>Si but the music and theme seems more Si>Se. Discuss, discuss.

Type ideas for the main characters? I love Juno's determination and independence with a rebellious streak and a pool of inner feelings she works so hard to show in a tough way.

I loved that movie. I almost cried at the end. I'm definitely buying it on DVD to add to my collection of heartwarming movies.

Loved the movie, Juno is a fucking awesome girl (quick wit) and her man friend is loveable too.

Bah, this movie is so hyped and I bet it's overrated. I have no desire to see it. Something about the character of Juno turns me off. Actually the vibe of the whole movie is quite irksome. It's like it's trying a little too hard to be oh-so indie and look at me, I'm quirky, love me! -__- Her personality is so dry and boring ... the wit seems really tacked on.

I found Juno irritating, and wanted to slap her several times throughout the movie.

Why did you want to slap her? I wanted to hug (or be) her...

It seems that the movie is probably delta.

I liked the movie. I found the character Juno to be pretty entertaining and not at all boring.

It's interesting to see the responses from Fe/Ti types here (especially even before they've seen it), in comparison with . They're very negative.

Personally, I thought it was brilliant. Great script, and the story and characters had a very natural quality to them. I enjoyed the blend of subtle and witty humour. Only downpoint? Signs the death knell for true indie cinema, because now the media and the population crave this "indie" style so much that it is no longer indie, but what bands like Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys and Klaxons became.

I think the overall feel of the film is Delta. It's "nice"; it has a "nice", warm feel to it. Juno could easily have had Fe PoLR because of how dry she was; I could easily see her as an SLI, although at one point I was thinking, maybe she is IEE, and Paul is SLI. Beyond this for Paul, no idea. Maybe an LSE (only because he runs, and his over all energy feels more EJ than IP, and he clearly lacks Fe, but doesn't seem at all like a Se/Ni type). Vanessa I could see as an ESE (or EIE, but definitely a Fe base type), and her partner, Mark, as perhaps a Si ego type. I thought he and Juno might be Identicals; I was thinking ILE at one point for both of them. Not sure about Juno's parents. Her friend could've been an SEE, but what high school cheerleader isn't?

Looking at IMDb, I see a bright future for Ms. Page. Anyone who is starring in two films a year in their twenties is bound for success.

    It was sort of overrated.
I mean, it was a really good movie.
But after hearing all this talk about it and seeing it in theaters I was disappointed.
I thought it was going to be a lot better based on what everyone was saying.

I'm sure I would have been set off of it too for the hype. But as it is I hear NO hype of any kind. I'm fantastically disconnected with the western world. We picked it up at a pirated movie stand. I dug it a lot. One of the songs in the sound track is the best silly Velvet Underground song ever.

I'm NOT reading the Republic by Plato. It's so hyped and pretentious. I bet Plato was just a fucking Marxists communist any old way. Fucking donkeys. I won't read it!

Yeah I have the soundtrack haha
    I liked it.
And I think I know what song you're talking about. It's not really my taste but it's good.

But any type of positive reaction heightens my expectations way too much.
Like there were way too many people saying it was their favorite movie.

I felt the same way, but I liked the movie. It had the happiest possible ending. Juno has a very offputting body-language.

I have heard this before from speakers of Scottish English, so calm down and come out of your standard American English bubble. It's no fun.

Edited to add: I love Juno, both film and character!

Its funny how this movie polarises people. An INTp and his Girlfriend i know thought it was awesome. I was really suprised. So i watched it and Juno kind of irritated me aswell. She seemed to be trying so hard to be this funky little thing. I dunno. Shes like "OOOh im pregnant how hillarious, oh well who cares" *skips happily down to abortion clinic*. Its like stop acting so cool you wanker time to take a long hard look at yourself.

At points, she went overboard. Like when she was talking to Su Chin about what happened when she went on pills. That was a bit cringeworthy; she was embarrasing. But I think her character is pretty adorable on the whole.

I actually did watch Juno - yes, I realized I had to give it a chance.

    Did it still suck?

    Yes.

I just didn't like how the script was so blatantly try-hard indie/hip... every few lines was like the script-writer putting in little references to so-and-so band (such as the scene where Juno & that father discuss tastes in music way too long, unnecessarily).

It's like the whole movie wants to be this "twee", quirky little thing that just happened to appear out of nowhere, ooh lookie at me!@!@ I'm s0o0o ky00t and intelligent!! But it's really just pseudo-intellectualism and pretentious posturing ...

I also wanted to hit Juno at times for her -___- faces and monotone, cynical attitude. She seemed to be "too good" for all the normal folks out there. The only character I liked was Jennifer Garner's. She was really sweet and endearing. Bleeker was just a pussy, lol.

Also, don't wanna "start" anything but STFU Garmonbozia, you're constantly advertising your own special-ness- oh la la, I read Plato - The Republic... oh la la, I have such an illustrious and mysterious past, pity me! And then berating others for their grammar mistakes when clearly, you have made plenty of stupid spelling errors and grammar errors as well. Do not tell me to go find them, I don't really have the time to dig through all your old posts, but I quite clearly remember them. Sometimes it made you seem extremely uneducated. So please, shut up for now.

I actually agree 100%. I can actually see a case for Juno being an IEE as there seemed to be Ne thrown around. One going though a really immature stage.

    Yes.

    YAY! EIE.

Niffweed can kiss my ass but you're no SEE. That's exactly how I write when I feel strongly about something.

To me Juno seemed SLI pure and simple. Agree with comments about overall "Delta" feel -> "Cool" mixed in with "Mature".
