    Where the shit am I?

God, do I have to chat you up on a daily basis to keep you from Ashton's sway? *sigh*

And I still don't understand at all how you think a type with Te leading and Se 8th can be a 6. That's just insane to me.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

lol, this isn't about Ashton's sway. Compare our lists and you'll see a good amount of differences (even on his self-typing). And yeah, ESTj's can be 6's; they're like the fucking archetypes lol. Just because some convoluted cube says they possess willpower and factual accuracy, doesn't mean shit.

Oh, and I didn't add you because I'm not convinced of ENFj over ENTp. As in, where's the Ti or Se agenda, if you catch a nigga's drift. And I'll never be convinced of 7. *shrug*

I neglected to add gilly, jessica, ezra and some other people, for personal reasons. It will happen in the near future.

Interesting how I don't attach to things very long...one might almost think it was a sign of object frustration relations.

My ego doesn't need much bolstering; it's already pretty massive.

    Explain this please.

My ego doesn't need much bolstering; it's already pretty massive.
Having a big ego doesn't mean it's secure. And notice I said bolster, not augment.

You're right: big things need lots of support. Heavy lies the crown kind of thing.

Funny, it's probably one of the most revealing things I've written about myself on this forum. I used the specific word "pure" because I thought it might get your attention in particular, but it is analogous to whatever other term or phrase I might have used.

I operate with this premise as a basic assumption. Thanks though; I never would have noticed.

That's how I used to feel about fighting ..

Sometimes .. I'd get so tired .. after so much .. anger .. that seemed to come out of nowhere.. .getting directed tirelessly at worthless goals, that I'd come to this place where I'd be like "What do I really want?"

You can't tell me you didn't paraphrase from this site:

People with the frustration object relation know what will make them happy, but they feel they seldom have it. However, once they find the source of their happiness, they tend to become disappointed and disillusioned with it. As a result, they become frustrated as they begin their search again. Their sense of self is based on the search for an ideal. These types need to remember that they can find contentment by accepting their present experience.
With the amount of times Nick has posted it, etc. I highly doubt you haven't read that. Pinky swears or not.

I did not paraphrase. I will stand on my grandfathers grave and swear it. I have read that MAYBE once in the past. And you can't deny that my behavior in terms of jumping from type to type fits perfectly with that.

    How does it fit perfectly?

When I read that description I do think it sounds somewhat like you, sure. But so does the Attachment Object relation. Actually, the jumping from type to type fits better with that, tbh. Attaching to types like that...

People with the attachment object relation tend to have a sense of contentment that their needs (with people, situation, thinks) are being met. Their sense of self is based on being deeply attached to things perceived as good. To attach themselves, these types adapt their ways to be consistent with important people or things.

That doesn't describe my behavior or motivations at all; I have no clue where you're coming from with that, tbh. It says nothing about jumping around or "moving on;" in fact it implies quite the opposite: the fact that I move around so much implies that I'm not deeply attached to much of anything, which is also more consistent with my overall life experience.

I identify much more with a sort of inner discontent that I attempt to slake, whether it be with an idea, a relationship, a form of entertainment, a drug, etc.

To be honest I just think you are a massive noob and should never try to tell me anything. You always wind up looking stupid.

Yeah, but I don't think any 7's would attach themselves the way you do, regardless. Whether it's transient or not, you still do it. People like Ashton, Fabio and Allie seem too...insouciant...too detached from their experience (in a happy-go-lucky way) to even expend the energy necessary to attach themselves to anything.

And this could be related to any type - the 6's inner anxiety, the 4's inner feeling of worthlessness, etc. You seem to always find a way to bend the semantics to fit whatever type you have currently decided on. Seriously Gilly, why the fuck have you jumped from 7 to 6 to 3 to 4 and back to 7? This suggests either a vast misunderstanding of yourself or of the enneagram. You choose, but there's no evading the reality.

To be honest I just think you are a massive noob and should never try to tell me anything. You always wind up looking stupid.
Well, considering what I said above, I don't think you're in a position to say anything about anyone else's type, let alone your own when you get in these delusional phases. You're the only one who ends up looking stupid, whether you realize it or not.

This is a fair point of contention. However it relies upon exclusive criteria, which I see as an inferior method of typing; what matters is the best fit.

Why not compare me to some cp6s? Do you really see me as being like discojoe? Christopher Hitchens? Or, lol, House?

Or fours? I know we have our similarities, which I personally am willing to chalk up to comparable upbringings and Socionics types, but what do you see me as having in common with other fours, like starfall, glam, anielka, kam, christy, etc?

Also I think it's fair to say that, at least to my knowledge, I have more varied life experience and have faced a good deal more adversity and personal challenges in my 20 years than any of the people you mention as benchmark 7s have, which could lend to the obvious outward differences.

You choose, but there's no evading the reality.
I think that both my flexible interpretation of semantics and my inability to accurately categorize what I experience subjectively is mostly due to weak Ti and an over-focus on Fe. The only truth that I see is that my subjective reality changes significantly over time, and I exhibit motivations and external characteristics of many types; the "dominant" mode is hard for me to isolate, but personally I think 7 works best.

Well, considering what I said above, I don't think you're in a position to say anything about anyone else's type, let alone your own when you get in these delusional phases. You're the only one who ends up looking stupid, whether you realize it or not.
It has nothing to do with anyone else's type. My falability in self-typing is due to my constantly changing self-perception; I think I have proven over time, at least to myself if not you, that my perceptions of other people are actually rather reliable. Was I not the first to pin both unefille and Mimosa Pudica as Beta NFs?
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

And stop defending Allie. Unless you admit that she's a noob and can't fend for herself.

*sigh* 6s, wanting to defend and be defended...oh nicky....

Gilly, I don't much like you anymore. This air of superiority has the distinct odor of a thin pretense.

I think Taurus and Scorpio is usually a 6
    Males are mostly 2's
And Unicorns are absolutely the greatest 9's of all.
Ofcourse Unicorns are always ETFJ, unless they are older then 16.

Riddy, I never liked you, and my indifference has grown from distaste since seeing how pretentious you can be, to outright dislike since you've been suckered into Model X bullshit. I guess I have an air of superiority sometimes, but if you want to call me pretentious, I can only laugh.

Nick, stop defending me. And Gilly, you're nowhere near as flexible as you think you are. You're extremely attached to every typing you have. The only reason you move on is because you get shown how wrong you are.

    Gilly's OFFICIAL Type Cycle

    1. You pick a type. (Example: GillEIE)
    2. You attach and argue for it unrelentingly. (Example: My Case for EIE-Ni cp6w7)
    3. Someone points out you are wrong. (Example: Peopl who think I'm ILE)
    4. Fail. No type for Gilly? (Example: Gillytype)
    5. All hope is lost. (Example: ILE is Me)
    6. You pick a new type. (Example: Gilly IEI 4w3)

(Then back to Step 2 for you!)

*Note: These examples aren't necessarily from the same cycle, just of the specific steps. Nevertheless, so predictable!

I never claimed to be flexible, so don't put words in my mouth. I don't see what this has to do with me having object attachment relations. Show me?

I choose something that works for me, I get disenchanted, I move on; you're just furthering the case for frustration relations.

Oh, and if you wanted to establish a pattern, you might want to start by actually giving a coherent example rather than cherry-picking threads and placing them out of sequence. Maybe you're right, but you sure don't know how to show it.

We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
