Good websites to learn about Enneagram types?
to learn about this stuff? People keep talking about what E type they are, and I don't know what they're talking about, except that I've been told I'm 7w6.
So I want to find out if that is me, what it means, what type my husband is, etc. What site would you recommend?

The Enneagram Blogspot <- this one. If only because it links lots of good resources in their own right and does a nice job of summarising everything.

OK well taking the test and reading the description, I'd say I'm definitely 7w6. That's a start. On to my husband! Thanks! This is something else to entertain me for a bit. I'm stuck at home more than I like with the baby and I'm having a bit of trouble with boredom. My sister told me she got me a ds game with puzzles on it for my birthday and that should help too.

Enneagram has been very illuminating, especially now that I know I'm a 3w2. I think my admiration for characters like Homer Simpson, Al Bundy, Beavis and Butthead misdirected my achievements.
Don't try to pidgeonhole SLIs to any one instinct type, let alone any one enneagram type. I bet when you read a 3w2 profile, LII doesn't come to mind, but that is what I am. Though if you must, SLIs are 9w8 more than they are 9w1 I think.

I guess I just wanted a starting place to look. I read 1, then 2, then 3 , then 4, and got to 7 and thought NONE of these sound ANYTHING like him. I guess I could have continued through 8 and 9 before asking. LOL.

ugh.. it's stuff like this that makes me question my 5-ness. I've never had a problem showing people myself, at least not consciously, though in earlier years I did wonder if I had anything to show. It could be because I'm a sx 5.

ENTJs are all over the place. Likely not 6 or 9 though. The ENTJs I know personally are mostly 4s.
Lol I know this is going to sound like I am an ass, but I honestly don't put much stock into these types of interviews.... I think they are valuable and interesting but I'd rather base my understanding on type descripts, because alot of times people just unload a bunch of typical human problems that everyone experiences and they call that their type. Typing that way is unfruitful, I think people need to look for what makes them different or unique and use that as the basis for their typing.
It may sound a bit nuts but I think the great value in the enneagram is once you identify your type you can understand more about your unique strengths and weaknesses. I like the enneagram better for this than other typologies because the strengths and weaknesses fit together very well, in other words, what makes you great @ A is what makes you bad @ B.... whereas too many typologies don't make this connection, they just focus on "here is a list of things you are good at", "here is a list of thing you suck at", and they don't have any relation what so ever, or a weak one at best. Enneagram can be useful because it gives you a perspective about yourself, what is your destiny at the top, and what is your pitfall at the bottom, and you can use that knowledge to be more effective as a person, in other words to aid self-development.
Socinoics lacks in this way, but it has its own advantages... like intertype relations and all the category divisions.
With that said I also dislike all of these interviews because they have a distinct corniness to them.
