    Default Matthew Zed signing in.

    Oh, hi.

    I'm Matthew.

I self-type as LII, although various socionics tests usually yield LII, LSI, ILI, ILE, or SLI.

I'm here to broaden my understanding of socionics, although I'm slightly more familiar with the MBTI typology system. (not holding that against me would be appreciated)

That's all the pertinent information for now.

    Move along, citizen.

Your word choice and semantic focus displayed in your introductory post certainly sound LII. Given that and the preponderance of introvert types in your test results (which makes ILE unlikely in my mind), I see no reason to doubt your self-typing of LII.

Isn't speculation based on almost no evidence fun?

    Also, uh, welcome, and such.

Our modern democratic systems couldn't function without speculation on minimal evidence!

Also, your welcome is noticed and reciprocated with a hello.

You know my type and still expect me to have a window in my basement dwelling?

It's mildly sunny yet mildly breezy windy at the same time. Any psychology with diagnose it with bipolar disorder in an instant.

In other words, moderate and tolerable.

How was I to know you had a basement? Maybe you've got an apartment and never bothered putting up curtains, leaving you a perfect view of outside.

Inside weather works too; it's usually rather nice inside. Today it's too cold. ' Least there's no wind.

When I VI, I fill my head with images of the hundreds of people I've typed until I decide on the group the picture fits best with.

I'm still learning that particular skill, but I'm leaning with "analyze facial expression and attempt to determine the functions of their Ego block."

Heh. "I can't pitch, but I can throw the ball for you to hit."

I think circles are better with VI. Not that it's considered a reliable method around here.

How did you come to know about socionics? Brilliand introduced me, and I studied my charts with until they were stored in and I could stop working and just know.

That test said you're your own quasi. How does that make you feel?

How did I come to know about Socionics? That came with my investment in studying typology matrices. (namely Enneagram, MBTI, and Socionics)

How does it make me FEEL? You did see ILI-Te subtype and LII, right? I don't have a strong ethics function in my body.

Anyways, it must be an indicator that I can come off multiple ways. That, or I'm living the wonderful world of Id functions.

Lol. Just quoting a classic psychologist line. Maybe I should have said "What do you think of that?"

You've got as much L as I do; we're both logical rationals.

Id...*shudder* the work and the ferocity. How anyone can stay there for long periods of time without becoming a jerk is beyond me.

I'm very familiar with both an (or a; I'm still uncertain as to the correct grammatical approach to socionics) LII and an ILI. I'd say you're an LII. Either way, you're quite common. This forum is full of introverted intuitives, and my list of people's types is mostly full of extroverted feelers.

Ah, making decisions shortly after meeting someone. The sign of a true person of or around voting age.

Black olives with the occasional pepperoni or occasional no toppings.

On a side note, what about those types with jerk-like functions in valued positions?

Huh. I think olives give pizza a somewhat undesirably strange flavor, though I love eating them from the can or with guacamole. Pepperoni is good.

Nice job hating on your quasi. Leave it to a Delta...

I personally find the olives to be a second flavor to a pizza. While it varies between eating styles, the olives are one of the latter things for me to taste in mine. They become a second dash of sensation to the taste of the pizza.

The inner part of me that asks "what if?" is in pain right now, I'm sure.

Just a hunch, actually. I don't have strength in any feeling function.

Intelligence is 60% insanity,(reasonably sane is an illusion) 30% knowledge, and 10% sheer guesswork. Joining this forum was part of the 60%.

Yup. From what I know about SLEs, I think they'd feel like not enough fun when focusing on Te and too... waste of time/lazy/distracted when focusing on Si. For my part, I wouldn't feel like a jerk if I focused on Ne and Fi... I'd just feel disingenuous, and... soft, as though Ne is less "serious" than Ni, although that can't possibly be true. But that's how it would seem to me.

Anyway, Hi Matthew, welcome to the forum. You seem like an LII to me as well. Definitely logical, definitely rational. You're not an LSE, and you don't feel like an LIE or an LSI. LII is the natural choice.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.
