if you actually read psychological types you'd know Jung didn't believe that type existed in the same form in antiquity as it does in modernity.

He is mistaken.


What I really want to know is how by a process of trial and error, and elimination (evolution), sixteen different types of people appeared, each with a different form of cognition, percieving the aspects that form reality in different ways and with different priorities. Then, how come between these 16 types, a phenomena occurs where the tone of the relation can be somewhat predicted. How this this happen, and why? What is the purpose? Everything has a purpose.

I can, but prefer not to. In a world where supposedly the law of entropy reigns, structures more and more complex form on their own with no supposed external interference. What guides these formations? Pure randomness?

Probably psycho-social economy. If a person can concentrate his psychic energy on a certain aspect of reality he can specialize in this and contribute more than if he just would be average in all functions.

I think it the same phenomenon that make people have different jobs. Why aint everyone doing the same work? Same with information function.
